Local Restaurant The Hainan Story Incorporates Milo’s Nostalgic Flavour Into its Dishes

Nestlé Professional, in partnership with The Hainan Story, has developed a series of MADE with MILO specialty treats that are sure to bring back fond childhood memories for anyone who tries them.

The local restaurant The Hainan Story and Nestlé Professional have collaborated to fuse MADE with MILO items with new mouthwatering dishes. This marks the beginning of what is planned to be many future collaborations between MILO and other local restaurant brands.

Start your day with a Milo drink.

According to Paul Nagelkerken, Business Manager at Nestlé Professional, MILO has been a staple in Singaporean homes for decades, giving people a boost they need to succeed throughout the day. Nestle Professional is thrilled to have worked with The Hainan Story to develop a set of special menu, which features dishes with a contemporary spin on traditional Hainanese fare and features MILO’s trademark flavour.

Beginning on 15 June 2023, all four The Hainan Story locations will offer a new MADE with MILO menu featuring items like the Hainanese Crispy Chicken Cutlet, MADE with MILO Toast, the MADE with MILO Hainan Three Treasures milo yuan yang drink, and the MADE with MILO Swiss Roll.

The Hainan Story has ingeniously crafted four delightful dishes that showcase the rich and indulgent flavour of MILO in a variety of ways. From sweet to savoury and hot to cold, each dish is a unique and delicious experience that will satisfy any chocolate lover’s cravings.

The Hainan Story x MADE with MILO

MADE with MILO Hainanese Crispy Chicken Cutlet dish (S$9.90), creates a unique combination of sweet and savoury flavours. The dish consists of a boneless chicken leg that has been fried to a golden, crunchy texture. The chicken has been marinated with Cajun spices and coated with a mixture of potato chips and breadcrumbs. The dish is served with Hainanese BBQ sauce that has been enriched with MILO powder, giving it a subtle chocolatey flavour. The dish is accompanied by a side of French fries.

Milo Chicken Cutlet.

The MADE with MILO Toast (S$2.20) is a variation of The Hainan Story’s famous fluffy thick toast. It is covered in condensed milk and topped with a layer of MILO powder, making it even more indulgent. This chocolate treat is lavish and elegant, making it an ideal choice for breakfast, a mid-afternoon snack, or a dessert after dinner.

The MADE with MILO Hainan Three Treasures shake (S$4.50) is a blend of coffee, tea, and MILO, creating a yuanyang drink. The coffee from Hainan has a distinct aroma that is complemented by the rich taste of premium tea and the chocolatey goodness of MILO. Each sip is a delightful experience, with a smooth texture and complex flavours that are sure to please your palate. The final step is to sprinkle a layer of MILO powder over the top.

Milo Toast.

The delicious MADE with MILO Swiss Roll (S$11.90 for a whole roll, S$3.70 for a slice)  has a delicious MILO filling, while the sponge cake is light and MILO-flavoured. MILO powder sweetens the roll. Enjoy MILO’s silky texture and chocolate’s wonderful taste in every bite of this lovely delicacy. The textures make this dish a masterpiece.
