Running out of ideas for your next Friday date night? Singapore’s nightlife scene never disappoints, and now you’ll have a new adrenaline-packed activity to add to the list.

Skyline Luge Singapore presents Ride the Beat, a brand new nighttime musical extravaganza. This means you’ll get your usual Luge fun but with a special twist – the hottest tracks and pumping beats filling the air as you glide down the slopes. With monthly musical themes, grab the biggest thrill-seeker and music lover in your life for that exhilarating night out.

For the uninitiated, Skyline Luge has been one of Sentosa’s icons since 2005, first originating in New Zealand. The Luge is a thrill ride that makes for great family fun, where you hop on Luge carts and descend down snaking tracks – you can find iterations in Calgary and Mont Tremblant in Canada, and even in South Korea’s Busan. Little ones don’t get left out too, as kids above 6 years old and taller than 1.1 metres in height can even embark on the Luge adventure alone. Fret not if they’re younger, because they have cart sharing options for them to join in the fun!

Now, with the introduction of Ride the Beat, Skyline Luge Sentosa has now become the first Luge site in the world to add music to its electrifying tracks.

From 7pm to 9pm on Fridays and Sundays, the Night Luge rides are transformed by neon lights that will illuminate the surrounding rainforest. Embark on your musical joyride and scream (or sing!) at the top of your lungs to popular tracks, bringing jamming with your friends to a whole new level.

Skyline Luge Sentosa promises 2.6km of downhill fun across four purpose-built tracks, whether you’re more of a speedster, or if you’re more inclined to show off your skills on their various bends and hairpin turns. For the best experience to indulge in their epic hits, they recommend taking on the Expedition or Jungle trails. While you’re racing downhill with the wind in your hair, don’t forget to strike a pose for the cameras and take home memories with photo prints.

The music aims to create an immersive experience for all the senses, and to do that, the playlists for the month of February are carefully curated by EDM pro DJ Hamez to set the mood. Ride the Beat comes alongside a collaboration with nightlife experts AFTERLIFE by AIKO collective, and they promise fresh new hits each month from different DJs, spanning different heart pumping themes.

Of course, every rider knows that securing pole position is no easy feat, and doing it on an empty stomach would just be foolish. Over at Beach Station, you’ll find Shake Shack’s Sentosa outlet, where they’re hosting an exclusive launch promotion in collaboration with Skyline Luge Sentosa from 1 Feb to 30 April 2024. With every purchase of Night Luge’s 3 Ride Combo, redeem a free box of Cheese Fries from Shake Shack to fuel your ride.

Start practising your dance moves and get your tickets for an unforgettable groovy night at the Skyline Luge Ticketing Counter, or avoid the queue and make your purchase on the official website. Individual tickets are priced at S$36, and you can find latest information and updates on Night Luge Ride the Beat at www.skylineluge.com/en/sentosa/.
