September at Tien Court is shaping up to be nothing short of a culinary celebration. Since opening in 1989, Tien Court has built a reputation for marrying authenticity with refinement. Known for its Teochew specialties, the restaurant’s enduring appeal lies not just in its flavours but in the thoughtful service that accompanies each meal.

Perched on the second floor of Copthorne King’s Hotel Singapore, the well-loved Teochew restaurant has unveiled a line-up of irresistible dining experiences that promise to excite gourmands and festival-goers alike. From artisanal dim sum to indulgent Mid-Autumn feasts, diners can look forward to a month of flavours that celebrate both tradition and creativity.

A Fresh Take on Dim Sum

Beginning 1 September, Tien Court’s dim sum menu receives a thoughtful refresh at lunchtime. Helmed by its dedicated dim sum chef, the new creations are as elegant as they are appetising, with prices ranging from S$7.80++ to S$8.80++ for three pieces. Each dish is meticulously handcrafted, highlighting quality ingredients and delicate artistry.

The Butterfly Pea Prawn Dumpling, for instance, is a feast for both the eyes and palate. Its translucent, naturally hued skin reveals plump prawns wrapped with tribute vegetables, making it as photogenic as it is delicious. Another standout is the Scallop Dumpling with Vegetable Shoots, where the sweetness of fresh scallop is beautifully balanced with crisp greens.

For those who enjoy something with a golden crunch, the Deep-fried Pumpkin Pastry hides a savoury filling of minced pork and diced scallop beneath its crisp exterior. Meanwhile, the Pork, Prawn and Conpoy Siew Mai offers a familiar favourite elevated with the addition of dried scallop. Ending the meal on a lighter note, the Red Date Paste Cake delivers gentle sweetness and a nostalgic nod to traditional desserts.

Mid-Autumn Elegance

The Mid-Autumn Festival takes centre stage with a six-course set menu available from 25 August to 6 October 2025. At S$99.50++ per person (with a minimum of four diners), this feast showcases both the elegance of Teochew cuisine and the conviviality of festive dining. To sweeten the occasion, each table also receives a complimentary box of low-sugar Traditional Baked Mooncakes filled with white lotus paste and macadamia nuts – the perfect edible keepsake for the season.

The menu is a procession of delicacies designed to impress. It begins with a Teochew Trio Combination Platter featuring braised Silver Hill Irish duck, a crisp minced crab meat ball, and a steamed crystal dumpling. This is followed by a velvety pumpkin soup enriched with crab meat and dried scallop. For mains, highlights include braised abalone with flower mushroom and broccoli, as well as baked cod dressed in plum sauce. A hearty noodle course of lobster braised in XO chilli sauce adds a luxurious flourish before dessert rounds things off with a refreshing chilled coconut jelly.

Special September Indulgences

September brings more than just festival fare. At lunchtime throughout the month, guests can enjoy the Dim Sum Duo promotion at S$9.90++. This special pairing features Abalone Siew Mai alongside Teochew Steamed Crystal Dumplings filled with dried shrimp, preserved radish and jicama. It’s an affordable way to sample the restaurant’s craftsmanship without compromising on flavour.

For dinner, the “September Treasures” menu priced at S$99++ per person is designed for indulgence. Diners can tuck into Typhoon Shelter Fried Prawns, prepared with a crunchy aromatic coating, and savour the delicate flavours of Soon Hock fish, offered either deep-fried or steamed Hong Kong-style. Rounding out the feast is a roasted half duck flavoured with angelica root, a dish that nods to Tien Court’s Teochew roots while appealing to modern palates.

Reservations are recommended, as these limited-time menus are sure to attract diners eager to celebrate the season with style. Tien Court is located on Level 2 of Copthorne King’s Hotel Singapore. For enquiries, call 6318 3193/3198 or email [email protected].
