Think stout belongs only in a pint glass? Connor’s Stout Porter and Chye Seng Huat Hardware are challenging that assumption with a new café collaboration that transforms the dark brew into everything from caramelised onions to creamy mayonnaise and a boozy affogato.
Available from 27 August to 1 November 2026, the Connor’s x Chye Seng Huat Hardware experience features three exclusive menu creations developed around the stout’s distinctive caramel, roasted coffee and chocolate notes.
Rather than merely pairing the beverage with food, each dish incorporates Connor’s Stout Porter as an ingredient, inviting diners to discover how stout can complement and enhance familiar flavours.
The partnership also brings together two brands with a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, quality and bold flavour.
Developed by Christina Ee, Head Chef at Chye Seng Huat Hardware, the limited-time menu comprises two savoury dishes and one dessert.
Leading the line-up is The Stout Stack (S$30++), a hearty take on classic comfort food. The burger features juicy wagyu beef topped with onions that have been slowly caramelised with Connor’s Stout Porter. A sunny-side-up egg, fresh tomato and crisp lettuce complete the burger, which is served with fries. The stout-infused onions have been specially prepared to bring Connor’s caramel malt character to the fore, complementing the wagyu’s soft and buttery texture.

For something lighter, The Connor’s Grill (S$12++) pairs smoky grilled chicken with a creamy stout-infused mayonnaise. Here, the gentle roasted and earthy bitterness of Connor’s helps to cut through the richness of the sauce without overwhelming the chicken. The dish demonstrates how stout can be used to create balance, rather than simply introduce a strong alcoholic flavour.

Rounding out the menu is The Connor’s Affogato (S$9.20++), a playful reimagining of the popular Italian dessert. Fresh espresso, vanilla ice cream and Connor’s Stout Porter are combined to create a smooth, boozy treat. The pairing draws upon the caramel and chocolate notes shared by Connor’s and Chye Seng Huat Hardware’s house coffee blend, while the vanilla ice cream ties the different flavours together.

The collaboration also gives customers another reason to linger at the café after work.
From Monday to Friday after 6pm, every main course purchased at Chye Seng Huat Hardware comes with a complimentary half-pint, or 250ml, of Connor’s Stout Porter.
Those who prefer a full pint can enjoy one for S$10++ during the café’s daily happy hour from 6pm to 9pm. The usual price is S$15++.
Games, Photo Strips and Exclusive Merchandise

Beyond the food and drinks, a series of interactive activities adds a playful element to the experience.
Customers who purchase two full pints of Connor’s in a single receipt will receive a sure-win spin at the Connor’s gachapon, where exclusive merchandise is up for grabs.
Visitors can also stop by the photo machine to take and print a complimentary photo strip. Stickers will be available as keepsakes, allowing guests to bring home a small memento of the collaboration.
Those who enjoy a challenge can participate in the Find the Notes word search. After completing it, participants must take a photograph and tag @connorssingapore and @cshhcoffee on Instagram for a chance to win a carton of Connor’s. One winner will be selected each week.
A selection of Connor’s merchandise will also be available for purchase while stocks last, including T-shirts, tote bags, mugs and collectible pins.
