The streetwear label’s latest Singapore outpost launches with a four-day block party celebrating the creative energy of Bugis.
New Era has opened a new flagship store in the heart of Bugis, transforming the retail space into what the brand describes as a “basecamp” for urban explorers and boundary pushers.
Located at Bugis Junction, the new store carries New Era’s full range of caps, apparel and accessories, while also serving as a platform for in-store experiences inspired by Singapore’s street culture. To mark the opening, the brand is staging the New Era Block Party from 20 to 23 August 2026, bringing together fashion, music, dance and public art under one roof.

Put Your Own Spin on an Iconic New Era Cap
Headlining the launch festivities is the return of The Cap Bar, now offered in an expanded format with an even wider selection of charms, pins and other decorative add-ons.
Visitors can choose their preferred New Era cap silhouette before personalising it to reflect their individual style. Staff will also be available to guide shoppers through the different shapes and fits, making it easier to find the right base for their customised creation.
Those who purchase a cap at the Bugis store from 21 to 23 August will receive three complimentary charms from The Cap Bar.
Local Music and Dance Take Centre Stage
The New Era Block Party will also bring Singapore’s creative community into the spotlight through a line-up of live performances.
Singapore-based rapper ABANGSAPAU will headline the festivities with a live set that taps into New Era’s longstanding connection with hip-hop and streetwear culture. He will be joined by local street dance crew LEO, while DJ Prav will keep the energy going with a set designed to take the celebrations from the store onto the surrounding streets of Bugis.
A Mural Created With the Community
Adding a visual arts element to the launch is Singapore-based illustrator and designer Lydia Yang, better known as Oak & Bindi.
Known for her colourful, character-driven interpretations of local places and culture, Yang has created a large-scale mural for the store. One side of the installation features a fully coloured depiction of the vibrant youth culture found around Bugis, doubling as a lively photo backdrop for visitors.
The other side has deliberately been left uncoloured, inviting shoppers and members of the public to contribute to the artwork. As more people add their own touches, the mural will gradually evolve into a collective portrait of the neighbourhood and its community.

With its combination of retail, personalisation and creative programming, the new flagship reflects New Era’s broader ties to sport, music, fashion and street culture. More than simply another place to shop, the Bugis location has been designed as a meeting point where visitors can discover new styles, personalise their caps and engage with Singapore’s creative scene.
The New Era Bugis store is located at 200 Victoria Street, Bugis Junction, #01-56/57, Singapore 188021. It opens daily from 10am to 9.30pm.
