Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, has expanded its cooperation with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to encourage more people to visit the city-state known as the Lion City.

Cebu Pacific and STB previously inked an Agreement in April 2022 to commemorate the reopening of Singapore’s borders. Following the successes of the previous year, both parties extended their memorandum of understanding to further their partnership in promoting travel to Singapore, which is one of the top-of-mind locations for visitors from the Philippines. Joint marketing and promotions, as well as combined business development in the sectors of fly-cruise and meetings and incentive corporate groups, will be key projects in this 2023 Memorandum of Understanding.

Singapore Tourism Board Area Director for Philippines Ruby Liu shares what travelers can expect in their trip to Singapore.

Assistant Chief Executive for International Group, STB, Juliana Kua noted that the Philippines remains an important market for Singapore, and that the affordable air fare rates offered by Cebu Pacific will be complemented by STB’s “SingapoRewards” program, which gives eligible visitors to Singapore a free attraction or activity.

In 2023, foreign tourists to Singapore can take advantage of SingapoRewards, a new program that will allow them to try one of over 40 “off-the-beaten-path” experiences in the city for free.

CEB offers convenient access to Singapore with direct flights from Manila, Cebu, and Davao as well as, beginning in April, Clark, Pampanga.

A valued partnership

In 2022, of the more than 6 million travellers who visited Singapore, Filipino tourists accounted for more than 300,000, making the country as one of the most popular destination for travellers from the Philippines.

CEB Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer Candice Iyog highlights the symbiotic partnership between the airline and Singapore Tourism Board.

Cebu Pacific’s Chief of Marketing and Customer Experience, Candice Iyog, reaffirmed the company’s appreciation for the Singapore Tourism Board’s cooperation. Now that the country has stabilised and expansion plans are in motion, CEB hopes to one day be able to fly every Filipino to a fascinating new location like Singapore, where they may experience all the wanderlust pleasures they missed during the pandemic.

As of right now, CEB operates three flights each day between Manila and Singapore, making it extremely convenient for travellers interested in visiting the Lion City for its well-known dining options, beautiful attractions, exciting adventures, or fantastic retail opportunities.

Cebu Pacific also operates daily flights from Mactan Cebu International Airport, making it easy for travellers in the Visayas to reach Singapore.

On 26 March 2023, Cebu Pacific will raise the frequency of its Davao to Singapore flights to four times per week. The airline will begin operating a daily Clark – Singapore trip on 28 April, providing Northern Luzon travellers with a new gateway. Between 13 and 15 March 2023, Cebu Pacific customers can take advantage of a special one-way base rate to Singapore starting at just PHP499, before taxes and fees. Dates for this trip are 1 June through 30 November 2023.
