JBL Singapore is setting its sights on the well-heeled crowd in Singapore with its recent introduction of its luxury home-audio line-up. The offerings in the line-up are a mix of new products and classic models that have been updated.

The most accessible range in its luxury line-up, the JBL Classic Loudspeaker Series has been updated. This series speaks to the consumer who looks for a product that combines style and quality. This range retains the look and feel of the original versions that were first launched in the 1970s, featuring a retro walnut veneer enclosure and Quadrew foam grille in three colours with optional JBL metal stands.

The iconic L100 is JBL’s best-selling loudspeaker of all time. In the modern version, the JBL L100 Classic (S$6,999 per pair) is updated with improved acoustics and crossover network design. It is a three-way ‘bookshelf’ loudspeaker that comes with 12-inch woofers, 1-inch titanium dome tweeter and 5-inch mid-range drivers. At a height of 25 inches, these speakers may suit more spacious dwellings though.

For consumers looking for something less bulky, the JBL L82 Classic (S$3,999 per pair) may be a more practical option. It has the same tweeter found in the L100 Classic, along with 8-inch woofers and 1-inch titanium dome tweeters.

And for those with space constraints at home, look to the JBL L52 Classic (S$1,500 per pair), which stands at 13 inches tall, making it a compact yet good-looking choice. It comes with two-way speakers with 5.25-inch woofers and 0.75-inch titanium dome tweeters.

The JBL Studio Monitor Series is a range of reference-grade loudspeakers that makes use of patented JBL compression drivers, High-Definition Imaging horn designs, cast-frame woofers, front-firing ports and high-quality construction to deliver true-to-recording, studio-grade sound performance.

The JBL 4367 Studio Monitor (S$25,000 per pair) is a two-way floor standing loudspeaker with 15-inch woofers, dual 3-inch voice coils, and dual 3-inch diaphragms, and JBL’s proprietary HDI waveguide horns.

A more compact system is the JBL 4349 Studio Monitor (S$15,000 per pair), which features two-way monitor bookshelf loudspeakers with 12-inch woofers and dual 1.5-inch compression driver.

The most economically accessible option in this series would be the JBL 4309 Studio Monitors (S$3,999 per pair) – two-way monitor bookshelf loudspeakers with 6.5-inch woofers and 1-inch compression drivers.

JBL Synthesis

Those with the moolah to spare, the JBL Synthesis will be JBL’s answer to bring a true cinematic experience to the home. It is a complete turnkey system for home theatres and dedicated entertainment rooms.

This top-of-the-line offering from JBL of course comes with additional perks. It is a customised, made-to-specification audio solution involving a process where the JBL Singapore team would come in with their expertise and advice to accommodate the client’s requirements such as aesthetics, décor, sound placements and structure.

The JBL team is able to work with the client’s third-party contractors on installing the set-up. JBL also has a trusted list of dealers and integrators they work with to help the client achieve the ultimate home theatre experience.

JBL Singapore has a showroom with a home theatre set-up that costs a cool $70,000 to put together.
