Shell Introduces Shell V-Power Nitro+ As Its Latest Premium Performance Fuel

Amidst all the excitement surrounding the Formula One (F1) Singapore Grand Prix last week, Shell revved up the action too with its introduction of the new Shell V-Power Nitro+. Replacing Shell V-Power, Shell V-Power Nitro+ is Shell’s latest and most technologically advanced premium fuel.

Shell V-Power versus Shell V-Power Nitro+

Shell V-Power has long been recognised as a premium performance fuel that works well with advanced engine technologies, with its own loyal following since its introduction in Singapore in 2000. According to Samuel De Guzman, General Manager, Retail Sales and Operations for Shell Singapore, the new Shell V-Power Nitro+ builds on the successful formulation of Shell V-Power and is even better than before at the same price.

Shell V-Power Nitro+ contains 25% more friction reducer in its Friction Modifier technology compared to Shell V-Power. It is designed to clean and protect your engine more efficiently as you drive, giving your vehicle the potential to run better. Less friction in the engine works out to less wasted energy and more power which can be transmitted to the wheels.

Partnership with Ferrari

Shell has a longstanding technical partnership of more than 60 years with Ferrari, which allows Shell to test new fuels in extreme conditions and transfer the technology from the racetrack to the road. Needless to say, Shell V-Power Nitro+ was also developed and tested with Ferrari. In fact, the Shell V-Power race fuel used by the Scuderia Ferrari Racing Team in the 2015 FIA F1 world championship contains at least 99% of the same type of compounds in Shell V-Power Nitro+ road fuel.

Shell V-Power Nitro+ is available in Singapore at Shell stations island-wide from 18 September 2015.
