National Geographic Photographer Steve Winter Talks about Cats

0

For one night only, Steve Winter, acclaimed National Geographic photographer will be in Singapore to share an intimate insight into his work on feline predators of the world. Having specialised in wildlife photography, he has especially made a name for himself in capturing captivating images of big cats. From tigers in the Kaziranga National Park, snow leopards on the Tibetian plateau, to Hollywood cougars living at the edge of Tinsel town, Steve has chased down these consummate predators on their own turf, at vertigo-inducing altitudes and in frigid temperatures at the risk of life and limb.

With an array of high-tech equipment and carefully honed techniques, Steve has captured portraits of these regal felines that speak in an almost human tone of the strength and vulnerability of each individual animal as it faces modern challenges of pollution, climate change and competition for resources with man.

Through the adrenaline-filled accounts of his day at the office stalking jaguars and cougars, Steve and National Geographic hope to not just inspire minds and also to inspire change from destructive and non-sustainable habits through awareness and education.

If you have ever gazed with wonderment at the pages of majestic creatures in the National Geographic, come hear Steve Winter’s harrowing tales of life in the field. Prepare to be awed, humbled and blown away.
