Here’s a delicious reason to arrive at Changi Airport a little earlier than necessary: ETC Travel Retail, a proudly Singaporean concept store, is bringing local flavours to the international stage with its first-ever outlets in Changi Airport Terminal 2 (opening mid-March 2025) and Terminal 1 (opening July 2025).
Designed to be the definitive “Singapore Store” for tourists, ETC Travel Retail isn’t just another airport gift shop. Think of it as a carefully curated launchpad for Singapore’s best small and medium food brands—packaged, prepped, and primed for global palates. Whether it’s salted egg snacks, kopi-flavoured artisanal chocolates or buttery pineapple tarts, ETC is giving tourists the chance to take home an edible slice of the Lion City.
A Jet-setting Debut for Local Brands
Behind the scenes is Edmond Wong, a London-born Singaporean and former chartered accountant who swapped spreadsheets for sambal. Wong’s ‘a-ha’ moment came during his travels when he realised there were plenty of snacks he could bring back to Singapore—but far fewer gourmet Singapore goodies he could gift to friends overseas. And when you’re standing in the departure lounge wondering what represents Singapore best, there’s only so much kaya toast you can wrap up.
“I wanted a store where travellers could conveniently pick up quality, iconic Singapore products right before flying—just like you would with Swiss chocolates or Japanese matcha,” says Wong. The idea became reality, and ETC was born.
Wong is no stranger to successful snacks. He’s also the mastermind behind myEureka gourmet popcorn, which has grown to eight outlets islandwide. Now, with ETC, he’s on a mission to elevate local brands to the international retail stage—starting with tourists at Changi Airport.
Eat, Snap, Repeat
So, what’s on the (travel-friendly) menu at ETC?

- Artisanal Chocolates – in flavours like kopi, teh, cookies & cream, and salted egg (yes, really).
- Salted Egg Snacks – from fish skin to salmon skin, spicy or original.
- Gourmet Squid Snacks – cuttlefish sugar, floss, honey and more, capturing the seafood soul of Singapore.

Each product is crafted without preservatives, no pork or lard, and designed to be compact, lightweight, and suitcase-ready.
Where to Find ETC
ETC Travel Retail’s debut outlet opens mid-March 2025 at Changi Airport Terminal 2, followed by a second location in Terminal 1 come July. Both are located in the departure transit areas, ideal for last-minute souvenir runs. You can also find ETC at Marina Square (their non-airport store), and soon at Jewel Changi Airport in May.
