Food, Music, Lights, Action. For three spectacular days, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam transformed into a pulsating celebration of gastronomy and culture as the Flavors Vietnam 2024 x HOZO International Food Fest took centre stage. Over 500,000 visitors thronged Nguyen Hue Street and Le Loi Street to experience the festival that was a melting pot of tastes, sounds, and immersive experiences that captured the dynamic spirit of Vietnam.

Imagine walking into a wonderland of 60 food and beverage booths, each tantalising you with its unique aromas and flavours. From Dim Tu Tac’s exquisite dim sum to Sedaap Noodle’s innovative creations and Japanit Matcha & Coffee House’s delightful brews, the festival brought together Vietnam’s beloved street eats and international cuisines, including Mexican, Chinese, and Japanese, under one big roof.

Visitors were spoilt for choice with exclusive dishes by top-tier restaurants, artisan cafes, and creative food purveyors, showcasing the extraordinary diversity of Vietnam’s culinary landscape. Whatever signature Viet dish you can think of, it was probably there at the food extravaganza. We even spotted wriggling live coconut worms and fried creepy crawlies for the more adventurous palates out there.

More Than Just Food

The F&B Zone wasn’t just about indulging your taste buds; it offered an interactive playground for foodies. Highlights included the vibrant activation space by Vikki Digital Bank, where augmented reality (AR) games kept the energy high, and exciting prizes brought smiles to many faces. These engaging activities added a playful touch, turning an already delightful event into an unforgettable experience.

At the heart of the festival was the exclusive MasterCard Lounge—a sophisticated oasis buzzing with culinary workshops and engaging events. Food enthusiasts got hands-on with workshops hosted by top brands like Layla Kitchen & Bar, IBUKI, and Østerberg Ice Cream from Denmark. Whether you were learning the science behind artisanal ice cream or picking up expert culinary techniques, the MasterCard Lounge elevated the festival experience with its unique blend of education and fun.

The lounge also featured mini-games, a curated media tour, and an exclusive after-party, ensuring it became the ultimate gathering spot for food lovers and creatives alike.

No festival celebrating Vietnam’s food scene would be complete without honouring its trailblazers. The Flavors Awards, a key highlight of the event, recognised the crème de la crème of the F&B industry across three categories.

– The Flavors Collection gave the public a voice to celebrate their favourite eateries.
