Eat Around the World With Chara Brasserie’s New Mediterranean-Asian Buffet

If you’re a foodie who has always wanted to sample cuisines from around the world but has never had the luxury of time to travel, then you should head out to the newly opened Chara Brasserie located within the spanking new Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre.

Chara Brasserie, the newest Mediterranean Asian buffet in the Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre, is the perfect place to start your culinary journey around the world. Every day of the week, the brasserie debuts a new themed buffet inspired by another country, creating a sensory experience that spans the Mediterranean and Asia. Discover a dazzling array of flavours as the entire buffet lineup transforms delightfully every day, offering fresh takes on old favourites from over a hundred variations of classic and iconic worldwide flavours.

In a stylish and modern atmosphere, Chara Brasserie invites diners to savor a variety of Mediterranean and Asian cuisines, promising an exciting and ever-changing eating encounter.

Flavours From Every Corner of the Planet

Chara Brasserie has curated four menus that will take diners throughout the globe through a memorable gastronomic experience. Every Monday and Tuesday, the flavours of Southeast Asia and the Mediterranean will be cooked up at the hot stations, with a focus on seafood.

Scallion Pancakes.

On Wednesdays and Thursdays, you may enjoy a fusion of Mediterranean and Japanese cuisines, such as freshly fried, perfectly crisp tempura and maki freshly rolled to order. Then, come Friday and Saturday, the focus will be on Mediterranean and Asia-Pacific cuisine, with a plethora of meats made available including rotisseries of lamb and carving stations for roasts.

An international Mediterranean buffet featuring dishes from all three meals is served on Sunday, bringing together the best of all three menus.

Diverse Food Stations

Presenting a buffet experience that’s unlike any other, visitors will be greeted with a Spice Marinated Whole Baby Lamb Rotisserie for dinner every Friday to Sunday. Have the tender grilled flesh of a masala baby lamb toast sliced straight from the spit and served to your plate. There is also an interactive DIY Kebab Station that that lets you put together your own kebab, so you get full complete say on how you want to wrap yours.

Cold clams, poached sea prawns, mussels, flower crabs, lobsters, crayfish, and an abundance of oysters are just a few examples of the delectable seafood options available at the Seafood on Ice station. You may get sweet, buttery, and creamy fish at the Japanese Station, where the chef can slice thick, generous slices of salmon, tuna, and swordfish for each plate of sashimi and makes sushi to order by hand-rolling and pressing the rice. Enjoy an assortment of tastes with aburi chirashi dons, which come with unlimited ikura, ebiko and tobiko.

The Live Rotisserie Station slices up more succulent roasts. Choose from robust and flavourful toasted mixed spice whole topside beef, finely marbled Australian Angus prime rib, smooth and tender roasted chicken, and more.

Order a variety of hot main courses prepared at the Live Stations for a little live entertainment as you watch chefs meticulously make your plate. Indulge in a bite of fragrant scallion pancakes or a golden crispy assortment of tempura. The Japanese sharing okonomiyaki, the South American crunch of the quesadilla, and the spicy Korean tteokbokki are all available. Thick bowl noodles of the day, lobster bisque, and other dishes are available every day of the week to round out the menu.

Local Flavors will feature dishes that are proudly Singaporean, such as prata puff and curry, salted egg jumbo Tiger prawns, kung pao crayfish, and, of course, the classic chilli crab. Kung pao smoked chilli prawns, Ariff satay on skewers, chawanmushi and more Eastern delicacies are available.

Chara Brasserie’s extensive dessert menu is the perfect way to end your meal. Local delicacies include an abundance of Nyonya kueh accompanied by miniature tarts, cupcakes, cakes and puddings. The small dessert plates of the day are prepared with soft-serve gelato and feature a rotating selection of dorayaki, waffles, croffles and more.

To celebrate its grand launch, Chara Brasserie is offering an opening special of 25% off the prices of its buffet menu, valid daily until 31 May 2024.
