Like many others, my first and last cruise experience six years ago was associated with the word – boring. Over the years, cruises have been revamped to create a novel and fresh experience for people from all walks of life. Making its debut as the newest and third cutting-edge ship in Royal’s Carribean’s Quantum Class, the Ovation of the Seas leads the cruise revolution.
We were invited to participate on the media tour and challenge onboard Ovation of the Seas. The interactive media tour and challenge was exhilarating and allowed us to experience the facilities first-hand. Here are some of the unique features we spotted during the challenge:
RipCord by iFLY®
Teaming up with iFly, Royal Caribbean launched Ripcord by iFly, the first ever sky diving simulator at sea. Experience sky diving in a safe environment while satisfying your desire for thrill and excitement. I bade farewell to my stigma of a boring cruise vacation while I skydived at the seas.
Seaplex
From bumper cars to Xbox games, SeaPlex is a multi-entertainment indoor space housing different sporting activities which encourages guests to let loose of their inner fun spirit. Athletic guests can play basketball and table tennis, go roller skating or race on bumper cars. Alternatively, you can chill out at one of the Xbox game stations.

Bionic Bar
Experience the future of mixology with robot bartenders serving up your favourite cocktails at the Bionic Bar powered by Makr Shakr. Alcoholic or non-alcoholic, the drink creations are endless. Take your pick from one of their signature drinks or craft one from the scratch. Simply place your order through the tablet and pay using your room’s RFID card and you can enjoy the sight of the mechanical arms at work.
Rock-Climbing Wall
For those who have not tried the climbing trend on land, it is your chance to conquer the 30-foot high rock climbing wall on the seas. With experienced instructors around and safety harness provided, parents can let their kids try on this new sport with ease.
Two70°
Complemented by 270° panoramic sea views out from the floor-to-ceiling windows, the three-deck high venue employs cutting-edge technology to offer an enthralling robotic screen dance performance. Furbished with cushion couches and the complimentary restaurant – The Café @ Two70°, this is the perfect area to unwind and hang out with friends. A walk up the spiral staircase will lead guests to a small and cosy library. Guests can enjoy a quiet afternoon on the sea while reading a book and looking out over the vast ocean.

Ovation of the Seas welcomes guests with a world of culinary exploration at both their specialty and complementary dining restaurants. Discover the fantasy culinary experience at Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine, a specialty dining restaurant onboard the cruise. Focused on contemporary and innovative cookery, Wonderland brings guests on a magical gastronomical journey that is one of its kind.
