Unwind at Pullman Putrajaya Hotel

After a very tiring week at work, I was ready to drive out of the city to unwind. My mind and body were desperately yearning for a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur. Thankfully Pullman Putrajaya came to the rescue.

Located by the Putrajaya Lake and beside the Putrajaya Maritime Centre, AccorHotel’s Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside hotel is heaven on earth. The moment I walked into the heart of the hotel resort, it felt like I just entered a portal where I can decide where I want to go. The hotel offers a unique setup with four wings – each representing Malaysia’s diverse Asian culture and tradition, boasting exceptional architectural and interior designs.

Since I was in the mood for a relaxing weekend, I was booked into one of the Borneo-inspired rooms at the RaffleAsia Wing. As soon as I the entered the wing, I was welcomed by a vibe so Zen-like I could feel my stress floating off immediately.

The first thing I noticed was that my room has a balcony overlooking the breathtaking view of Putrajaya Lake. I was so enthralled I wanted to stand and stare at the majestic sight.

My bed was super comfy; I enjoyed snuggling with the memory pillows. My only gripe is that their satellite TV seemed to have a poor reception.

My favourite is “B’s”, the modish dining outlet serving delicious Western and Asian cuisines. I enjoyed the restaurant’s mouth-watering “Mushrooms and Vegetables Pie with Peas”, which is available in their a la carte menu for RM33. Their desserts are sublime too. I specifically loved the “Mixed Berries Mouse”, which was so beautiful I almost couldn’t eat it. Later that night, I hung out with a glass of beer at the “China Bar and Lounge”, a cozy bistro offering a selection mocktails, cocktails and juices.

The iconic hotel also houses one of the largest hotel wellness spas in Malaysia, the “Fit and Spa Lounge”. Upon stepping in the lobby of the spa I was immediately enveloped in the relaxing scent of aromatherapy. The surroundings was a stress reliever in itself. After their trained therapist pampered me with a relaxing massage and various holistic treatments, I was completely de-stressed.

The hotel has a state-of-the-art fitness centre, a game room, a swimming pool as well as a “Kid’s Club”, the hotel’s in-house daycare centre. My personal favorite was the “Karaoke Lounge” where I sang my lungs out for an hour.
