Have you ever wondered how the Singapore Girl is trained? Now, you’ll have a chance to take a peek at what goes on behind the scenes at the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Training Centre.  For the first time ever, SIA will open the doors to its SIA Training Centre to the public as part of the airline’s SG50 celebration.

SIA will extend a warm welcome to members of the public on 25 July 2015 during the SIA Open House. Visitors can expect exclusive access to behind-the-scenes training of the pilots and cabin crew of SIA.  Held from 9 am to 6 pm, the one-day-only event will include walking tours of the flight simulator, safety training and cabin crew training facilities.

There will also be an all-day carnival, and you can visit the SIA Heritage Gallery which showcases SIA’s development over the years. Kids aged between four and 10 can also take part in an exclusive Junior Cabin Crew Experience – a 60-minute activity in which children get to don the iconic SIA cabin crew uniform and role-play with a parent in a replica of the SIA A380 Business Class cabin.

Entry to the Open House is free, with a nominal fee for certain activities. You can register for the Open House and the related activities online at www.SIAopenhouse.com. Free shuttle bus services from  Tanah Merah MRT Station and Singapore EXPO will be provided to and from the SIA Training Centre, which is located at 720 Upper Changi Road East. Visitors are advised to use the shuttle service as parking will not be available.
