A month ago, Singaporean actor Chen Tianwen’s retro-sounding song Unbelievable took the nation by storm and left Singaporeans “stunned like vegetable”. Having making its first appearance in Spouse for House 2, a local comedy sitcom which features the trials and tribulations of a couple who married for the sake of keeping a house, the catchy (or cheesy, depending on which camp you belong to) love song has since seen coverage internationally as well.
While there have been numerous covers and even a remix or two produced based on this song, Singapore-based brass ensemble Brass Nation has just produced an instrumental cover which remained true to that 70s cabaret feel.
Love it or hate it, it looks like this song is not going to die down anytime soon. In any case, it definitely has made Chen Tianwen more popular than ever.
