Get ready to get physical with a whole new purpose this July as a series of holistic events and other wellness-related activities happens at Marina Bay Sands.
At this year’s Glow Festival by Prudential, the cornerstone event of the Singapore Tourism Board’s (STB) Wellness Festival Singapore (WFS), visitors will discover many ways to relax, stretch and work up a sweat. From 6 to 21 July 2024, the 16-day event is scheduled to take over 1,900 square metres of the renowned Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza and Rain Oculus and is expected to attract more than 100,000 health and fitness fanatics.
Executive Director, Sports and Wellness, Singapore Tourism Board, Ms. Ong Ling Lee, expressed the Board’s joy in supporting the Glow Festival as a local wellness event, as the fruitful collaboration bring it to life for the third year together. In a first for Wellness Festival Singapore, Glow will serve as the main event, continuing the festival’s meteoric rise. According to Ms. Ong Ling Lee, Singapore aspires to become an urban health haven, and by collaborating with industry heavyweights like Glow, Singapore can demonstrate its wide, innovative, and accessible spectrum of wellness products to both locals and visitors.
Inspiring Festival-goers to Choose Wellness
The founder of Glow Festival, Mr. Martin Capstick, had similar thoughts, adding that the organisers are constantly looking for ways to impress the Glowgetters, who have been tremendously supportive since the first event in 2019. In addition to the outstanding wellness programs that Glowgetters have come to expect, Capstick promises that visitors will be ecstatic about the roster of immersive experiences that will be introduced this year.
Glow event by Prudential seeks to unite the community in experiencing and celebrating wellbeing, and perhaps even adopting new practices to help them live healthier lives. According to Capstick, the event was formed on a desire to inspire festival visitors to live well.
Goh Theng Kiat, Chief Customer Officer, Prudential Singapore, said that “as a life insurer, we want to support people to live well for longer, especially in Singapore where people are living so much longer”.
Goh further emphasised that it is important that people prioritise health and wellness to maintain quality of life now and in their later years.
Wellness Awakening
With a programme of more than 70 workouts and wellness seminars, this year’s theme Wellness Awakening is sure to be a hit, as lululemon and PURE gets on board as curatorial partners. Visitors should expect to engage in a wide array of activities that promote holistic rejuvenation and self-discovery. From relaxing sound therapies and immersive art experiences to stimulating exercises, there is something for everyone’s mind, body, spirit, community, and soul.
Also launching during the festival is Project Glow Up. This is a six-week mentorship initiative that Prudential Singapore, the event’s Presenting Sponsor this year, has developed. The program pairs aspiring wellness professionals with mentors from the retail, fitness, and food and beverage industries.
Project Glow Up, according to Goh Teng Kiat, “takes the commitment further by offering aspiring individuals an opportunity to pursue a fulfilling career in the wellness industry.”
Weekends with lululemon
There’s also the inaugural event called Get Into Strides with lululemon that festival-goers must look out for. This is a 5-km run around the beautiful Marina Bay region that takes place before sunrise every weekend during the Festival. It’s a great way for participants to start their weekend exercise routine with lululemon.
Each morning, 70 people will have the opportunity to join an exclusive session guided by a different Lululemon ambassador for a run. Make sure to mark July 21st on your calendars since the run will also be led by Korean celebrity coach Min-kyu Park.
Buy your tickets to Get Into Strides with lululemon at the early bird price of SG$54 each. You’ll have exclusive access to the Main Studio for warm-up and cool-down sessions, as well as usage of Recovery Space, a specially designed place to calm aching, tired muscles.

At Glow Festival, these world-famous lululemon ambassadors will be leading their much-loved programs, which will include AARMY Bootcamp, AARMY Cycle, Yoga, and Soul Flow Yoga.
“lululemon has been championing The Sweat Life in Singapore for over a decade, embracing the transformative power of movement. As we celebrate our 10-year journey in Singapore, we are inspired by the community’s unwavering support that has propelled us to evolve and grow,” said Tim Campbell-Scott, Market Director, Southeast Asia. “This year, our partnership with Glow Festival is a testament of our commitment to foster connections through wellness, bringing people together to celebrate The Sweat Life through shared experiences.”

A gigantic 4-by-7.5-meter high-definition LED screen wall enhances the Main Studio, which is already set against the breathtaking background of Marina Bay. This screen displays spectacular vistas from the natural world that are customized to each workout. Exclusive to those who have purchased tickets, this area takes participants away from the chaos of the city and puts them in touch with nature, perfect for a weekend getaway. From there, they can begin their recovery journey in the Recovery Space, which is next to the Main Studio.
Recharge at the Recovery Space
The Recovery Space is a sanctuary where you can indulge in a rejuvenating ice bath, relax at the Almora Botanica Face Yoga Fitness Bar and get your muscles back in shape after a tough workout with the help of state-of-the-art Therabody equipment that targets specific muscle groups for deep tissue massage.
Fitness, mindfulness, nutrition, and holistic wellness come together in six zones at one massive event, Glow Festival. Out of the six, four are available to everyone for free: The Bliss Room, Art Therapy, Virtual Reality sessions, and The Oracle by Alpha Wave Experience.
Six Engaging Zones
Crowds could partake in one of four free activities, including the world-premiere Oracle by Alpha Wave Experience, which is presented to Singapore for the first time. The artwork, which was developed by the group in Lisbon and Paris, is a modern take on Brion Gysin’s famous “Dreamachine”. It uses light, music, and frequency to put viewers into a meditative state. The installation offers a serene, engrossing setting that promotes calmness and self-reflection, and it is said to alleviate stress and enhance concentration in as little as 15 minutes.
In addition, there are Virtual Reality interactive sessions that let participants try out different modalities for an extraterrestrial, heart-pounding five-minute exercise. In these workshops, participants are whisked away to fascinating virtual worlds, where they can see beyond our planet and beyond. They are ushered into a world of boundless opportunities, where they are encouraged to explore, be creative, and take care of themselves in this dynamic digital universe.
Glow Festival has included an Expressive Artmaking station, in partnership with local artists and the circular fashion business Cloop, to encourage attendees to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the festival and focus on creating something therapeutic for themselves by stitching together scraps of fabric of varying colors to form a tapestry. Indulge in some artistic expression and strengthen family bonds with this fun and easy activity.
The Bliss Room is an oasis of peace where guests may escape the hectic pace of city life and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. For those seeking to explore the life-altering benefits of sound healing, meditation, and breathwork, there is a carefully planned schedule of 10-minute short-form sessions available all day long.
Relish in Delicious Dishes That Will Astound
Food and other festival necessities are essential. Indulge in the lively ambiance of the Wellness Bazaar by Guardian while perusing the wares of a wide variety of vendors selling health and beauty items, handcrafted crafts, and more.
Furthermore, there will be a designated space where four food trucks will be serving up a tantalising variety of nutritious and healthful cuisine selections, leaving participants with no choice but to feast. Wake The Crew, a local coffee company, and Mia Tavola, a superb Italian restaurant, are just two of the food and drink partners that have developed unique, mouth-watering dishes and menu items for Glow.
