Mercure, a trendy mid-scale brand under hospitality group Accor’s portfolio, has opened the doors to its newest and biggest Mercure property in the world – Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre. The spanking new hotel is located right smack in the hip area of Club Street in Singapore and offers 989 smartly designed rooms.

When you enter Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre, you will find yourself stepping into a truly local experience, where every detail captures the essence of each destination. The hotel’s design breathes life into this part of Singapore’s historic surroundings by taking architecture elemental cues from the vibrant facades of the adjacent Chinatown and the bustle of the central business district. Incoming guests will be immediately immersed in the LED mural and artworks of the famous shophouses by Ripple Root, a local artist showcasing this style in the hotel’s spacious lobby.

Aside from being a hip spot to stay, the Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre is also a gastronomic haven on Club Street, housing a number of restaurants that offers at least six distinct dining experiences. Buffets at Chara Brasserie, an all-day eatery, feature traditional dishes from the Mediterranean as well as those from Asia and the Pacific. The Klara Café and Bar, located in the hotel lobby, serves a menu that combines regional specialties with those from across the world, complemented by expertly mixed cocktails.
The movie ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ brought worldwide fame to Naples pizzeria L’antica Pizzeria da Michele, which has now made its debut in Singapore, setting up shop within the Mercure hotel building. The film depicted the lengthy lines that pizza lovers in Naples would wait in for their iconic Margherita and Marinara dishes. Since the restaurant opening, guests have been making a beeline for the famous pizzas.
‘La table d’amis,’ meaning ‘the friends’ table,’ is the concept of the another Mercure ICON restaurant, the Alsace-French fusion La Table d’Emma, which is headed by the seasoned French chef Michael Muller.
In the latter part of 2024, guests can also savour sushi at Ashino, drink craft beers at Upward Taproom and have a hot cup of homegrown coffee at TAG Espresso.

After the wining and dining, guests can just chill and enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool or relax on the peaceful health deck at the hotel’s Landscape Deck—a sanctuary of tranquility and healing.
