Wyndham Destinations Asia Pacific, the resort management firm in charge of Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay, has announced the completion of a transforming USD$1.3 million renovation project for its Club Wyndham Asia suites, pool suites and pool villas.
Unveiling a collection of 20 suites and villas for the discriminating members of Club Wyndham Asia—the preeminent travel membership and lifestyle club in Asia—this milestone project has deftly combined modern Thai aesthetics with a narrative of design influenced by the fascinating stories of adjacent Kamala Beach.

Substantial upgrades were made to the original suites, one-bedroom pool suites, and two-bedroom pool villas to improve the club member experience. Infusing a feeling of peace, balance, and spirituality into the interiors, the award-winning design team from S+A transformed the once minimalistic style into a lively and laid-back beach vibe enhanced with modern Thai decor and lotus patterns.
Improving the operation of the kitchenettes and mini bars is one of the main enhancements, while refinishing the wooden flooring, adding textured paint, and wallpaper accents boost the visual appeal. The total change is aided by new furniture and fixtures, technological advancements including swivel-capable ceiling-mounted TVs, international and USB-C power outlets and improved lighting options.
A Lotus Flower in Bloom All Year Long
Kamala means “lotus flower” in Sanskrit, and the story of the design expands via the use of materials and patterns that are influenced by the lotus flower, with shapes and colours that are reminiscent of leaves and blossoms. A harmonious visual experience that faithfully portrays the local culture and environment is achieved through the use of a colour palette that pulls from the sky, the sea, and lotus flowers.
