Japanese Automobile Innovation at its Best
The Mazda CX-60 has an efficient Skyactiv-G 2.5 gasoline engine that generates 141 kW/191 PS of power and 261 Nm of torque and is mated to a smooth-shifting eight-speed automated transmission. Excellent driving characteristics are provided by the KPC stabilization technology, balanced seats, responsive suspension, and increased bodyshell rigidity, all of which are components of Mazda’s Skyactiv Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture.
Vehicle Exit Warning (BSM) alerts drivers to vehicles approaching from behind, and the CX-60’s 360-degree View Monitor with See-Through View provides a wider field of view at low speeds.
According to Chong Kah Wei, Managing Director of Mazda Singapore, the Mazda CX-60 represents the company’s dedication to providing its customers with a thrilling ride. According to Wei, the CX-60 is the epitome of Mazda’s workmanship because of its agile handling, high-end amenities, and user-friendly layout, all of which combine to make every trip a pleasure.
The Exterior of the CX-60
The Mazda CX-60’s muscular front end and styling are the result of diligent work. The KODO design makes the vehicle look alive. Like a living being, its skeleton holds the ground. The sturdy framework appears appealing from every angle.
Its bigger front grille shows its might. An indication reinforces the grille’s wing. The Mazda CX-60’s SUV-tough L-shaped, vertically stacked headlights.
The rear-mounted cabin causes the shifting profile. A light beam descends from the cabin’s back border to the rear axle’s tire well. Japanese calligraphy and contemporary art inspired this radical change. The Mazda CX-60’s side logo reflects its front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout’s greater driving ability. Luxury cars have L-shaped taillights that span horizontally like headlights.
Mazda’s Takuminuri paintwork adds Rhodium White to Soul Red Crystal and Machine Grey. Rhodium White symbolises Zen Buddhist “nothingness” and Japanese minimalism. The image creates a machine portrait highlighting metal’s brilliant brilliance with a hard sheen and rich particle texture to showcase the car’s strength and beauty.
The exterior of the Mazda CX-60 can be had in one of eight different colours: Black, Deep Crystal Blue, Sonic Silver, Platinum Quartz, Arctic White, Rhodium White, Machine Grey, or Soul Red Crystal.
A Stylish Interior
The front-engine, rear-wheel drive SUV architecture of the Mazda CX60 is reflected in the interior design. Lines that start at the large instrument cluster and continue through the side air vents and the door trim serve to emphasise the airy nature of the cabin.
Because of its longitudinally positioned engine, new 8-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive, the console’s robust form extends all the way across the cabin from front to back.
Mazda is a brand with profound roots in Japanese culture, and the interior is a testament to the enduring quality of Japanese handiwork. Both old and new techniques are used to make textures appear richer.
The Mazda CX-60 has a big panoramic roof that measures in at 1060 millimetres by 995 millimetres, giving those riding in the back more headroom and natural light. The area of the roof in between the B pillars has also been optimised to minimise mass and increase protection in the event of a side impact.
HMI (Human-Machine Interface)
The driver’s cockpit has a 12.3-inch infotainment centre display, a full TFT-LCD instrument binnacle, and a wide window Active Driving Display. The Active Driving Display screen simplifies important driving information and improves safety. The enlarged text display shows ADAS settings and status. Drivers can readily acquire information.
Bose Premium Sound
The Mazda CX-60’s 12-speaker Bose sound system’s BassMatch technology boosts low-frequency sound. A Bose digital amplifier with nine channels of custom equalisation and signal processing uses Centrepoint 2, SurroundStage, and AudioPilot 2. High-performance speakers include an 80 mm Twiddler in the instrument panel, two 25 mm tweeters in each door mirror patch, two 115 mm woofers in cowl-side bass enclosures, four 80 mm mid/high range speakers in each door, two rear 65 mm surround speakers, and one 130 mm in a 10-litre bass enclosure in the spare wheel housing. BassMatch cowl-side enclosures provide powerful bass and decrease “door buzz,” delivering an immersive audio experience with enhanced clarity and a broader sound picture.
Powertrain Feature
Skyactiv Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture powers Mazda CX-60 longitudinal power units. The longitudinal powertrain comprises a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder Skyactiv G petrol engine, a new eight-speed automated transmission, and rear-wheel drive.
Eight-Speed Automatic Torque Converter-Free
Mazda’s new eight-speed automatic transmission blends dynamic and environmental performance with smooth gear shifting, clear gear steps, and a wide range. Instead of a hydraulic converter, the new transmission uses planetary gears and multi-plate clutches to shift ratios.
Replacing torque converter like a manual transmission, a clutch transmits engine torque directly. It also employ an improved clutch friction transmission and cooling which provide smooth starting and efficiency. Mazda’s eight-speed transmission and powerplant configuration reduce transmission tunnel area and pedal box size, optimising driving position.
The Mazda CX-60 also comes with an array of safety and driving guide features such as the Mi-Drive Mazda Intelligent Drive Select that offers Normal and Sport modes. It also have a sophisticated i-Activsense driver assistance systems that provide top-tier active safety.
Other notable features includes the: See-Through View and Vehicle Exit Warning (BSM) for rear-approaching motorists, the View Mazda’s 360° View Monitor which uses four cameras to show the car from above, front, back, and left or right sides on the centre display and the Mazda CX-60 See-Through View that increases the 360° View Monitor.
Important I-Activsense Systems
Smart Brake Support (SBS), a standard safety feature in the Mazda CX-60, uses a forward-sensing camera to detect automobiles ahead day and night to avoid crashes or damage. The technology brakes or slows the car before it hits the car in front.
Mazda’s Lane-keep Assist System and Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert are i-Activsense driver aids. Blind Spot Monitoring notifies drivers to approaching vehicles when changing lanes. Its Rear Cross Traffic Alert warns of flanking vehicles when reversing.
The Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) maintains speed and distance if the car ahead stops. Four-wheel anti-lock braking (4W-ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Traction Control System (TCS), Emergency Stop Signaling System (ESS), Hill Launch Assist (HLA), and automated LED headlights are standard.
The Mazda CX-60 is now available at the Mazda Ubi and Leng Kee showrooms.
