There is no better way to greet the Lunar New Year than with a festive feast. In search of a dining place to do just that? Jia He Chinese Restaurant and the brand-new Jia He Grand at One Farrer Hotel have collectively come up with delicious delicacies designed to usher in wealth and health for the new year.
Jia He opened in 2019. However, the staff – from the chef to the manager – are made up of veterans from the F&B industry, or specifically from the well-known Peach Garden Restaurant. One can expect to find familiar Cantonese dishes at Jia He.

Starting from S$1,088++ for 10 pax or an intimate S$108++ per person for minimum two people, Jia He’s Lunar New Year set menu is sure to satisfy the taste buds while becoming a centrepiece of a lively table conversation.
It is believed that eating Lunar New Year dishes increases the blessings of riches and success and Jia He definitely has this in mind when planning the menu. Some signatures include: Wok-fried Baby Lobster with Green Peppercorn, Braised 4-Head Abalone with Seasonal Vegetable with Crisp-fried Foie Gras Wanton, Fresh Whole Australian Lobster Sashimi with Salmon Yu Sheng, Baked Sea Perch with Orange-Yuzu Compote and many more.
Among our favourites are the Double-Boiled Fish Maw Soup with Conpoy and Morel Mushroom, which is a comforting soup great for the cold weather of late.

Another of our favourite is the Braised Sliced Abalone, Foie Gras with Hokkaido Snow White Pork Belly.
One thing about the food at Jia He is that the restaurant does not try to serve overly fanciful dishes. Instead, it seeks to satisfy diners with dishes cooked in the traditional way whilst letting the ingredients shine through.
Takeaway and delivery menus
For those who prefer to celebrate in the comfort of their own homes, Jia He’s sumptuous takeaway menu will ensure a memorable feast as well.
For the Chinese New Year Goodies, one mustn’t miss the Yusheng, as are the Pencai and Roast Meats available from Jia He Chinese Restaurant for takeaway and delivery. Orders from the Lunar New Year Goodies menu, such as the Smoked Salmon with Walnut Yu Sheng, cost $88+ for a large and $68+ for a small.
Smoked Salmon with Edible Flower and Jackfruit YuSheng is another delectable Yu Sheng that costs $98+ for Large and $68+ for Small. The Baby Abalone Yusheng, which costs $118+ for Large and $98+ for Small, is another excellent choice. The CNY Goodies for Takeaway and Delivery are available from 26 December 2022 to 5 February 2023. The deadline for placing an order for Local Delivery is 19 January 2023.
The prosperous Jia He Mini Treasure Pencai (excellent choice for six persons) consists of the 8-Head Abalone, Live Prawn, Fresh Scallop, Dried Oyster, Roasted Sliced Duck, Braised Pork Belly, Sea Cucumber, Yam, Mushroom, Tientsin Cabbage, Radish, and Cloud Fungus 8 at SG $311.04. If you want to elevate the menu for added abundance of taste, the Jia He Treasure Pen Cai (For 10 Persons) can be had at SG $451.44.
Alternatively, for S$645.84, you can also give the delectable Jia He Premium Abalone Pen Cai (For 10 Persons) with 5-Head Abalone and more a try.
Jia He is well-known for its roast meats, such as the Roasted Golden Suckling Pig Whole at $419.04, Roasted Crispy Duck (Half at $51.84 and Whole at $84.24), and Roasted London Duck (Half at $62.64 and Whole at $105.84).
Both restaurants will serve the same Jia He Lunar New Year dishes from 7 January 2023 until Reunion Day, ie the Eve of Chinese New Year on 21 January 2023, and the 15 days of Lunar New Year beginning on 22 January 2023. (Sunday).
Free delivery is available for orders over $250 to a single address. Delivery service is available with a minimum order of $200. On CNY Eve, CNY Day 1 and 2, the delivery price is $38 per address. The delivery service is $25 from CNY Day 3 to CNY Day 15.
