So, what’s up with Scoot these days? Well, they just expanded flight routes to China, South Korea, and Japan, as well as newly added service to Lombok and Makassar, Indonesia. Oh, and a Pikachu Jet that will take you to Tokyo, Seoul, and Taipei three times a month.

More flights, new route launches, and resumptions are all being executed by Scoot, Singapore Airlines’ (SIA) low-cost subsidiary, to accommodate the rising demand for air travel. Scoot will begin offering twice-weekly service to both Lombok and Makassar, Indonesia, beginning on 16 October 2022. Further, on 15 and 24 October and 2022, respectively, twice-weekly flights to Yogyakarta and Pekanbaru will resume. After adding these new cities, Scoot will serve a total of eight destinations in Indonesia.

Scoot passengers can expect more flights to North Asia as a result of loosened border restrictions in Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan. Flying deep into greater China

Scoot has also increased the frequency of flights to Mainland China beginning of the 26th of September 2022. Flights to Fuzhou are now offered once a week, and flights to Nanjing have been extended to twice a week. Scoot will boost its number of flights to Tianjin to twice weekly as of next month and begin service to Hangzhou (on 3 October), Zhengzhou (on 12 October), and Wuhan (on 13 October). Before the pandemic, Scoot served 21 destinations in Greater China; by mid-October, about half of those will be operating again.

Starting in November, fans of Pokémon will have additional opportunities to experience the unique flights on their next vacation. The Pikachu Jet will fly on three routes per month: Singapore to Tokyo, Singapore to Taipei, and Singapore to Seoul.
