Come next year, a global forerunner hotel brand will inject its trademark combination of art, luxury, and culinary flair into Singapore’s most lively neighbourhoods, from the Hollywood Strip to the Lion City’s Duxton Hill. Mondrian, part of Ennismore, one of the world’s top hospitality companies with 14 brands worldwide, will make its debut in the first quarter of 2023.
The new hotel will be positioned only steps away from the busy Central Business District. Rising over the dynamic and historic Chinatown shophouses, it will provide panoramic views of the magnificent city skyline.
The setting pays attention to the century-long heritage of the neighbourhood, notably that of Duxton Hill. Duxton Hill is becoming Singapore’s most exciting neighbourhood, with barista cafés, world-class restaurants and bars, art galleries, and independent shops.
The hotel has 302 bedrooms and suites, a cinematic rooftop pool and a variety of restaurants and cafes. Its design is inspired by the historic architecture of the heritage conservation area and features interactive installations. A modern selection of local and international artworks also provides a space to interact and widen horizons.
Bringing Mondrian the artist to life
Mondrian was an artist who stunned the world with his austere interpretation of the Cubist era. The brand Mondrian has always attempted to challenge and amaze by producing the unusual. Mondrian will provide visitors with a distinctively different hotel experience in Singapore, with its flair for the unexpected, bold design, and electrifying energy.
According to Mr. Chadi Farhat, the Chief Operating Officer of Mondrian at Ennismore, the premiere of Mondrian Singapore Duxton also marks an important milestone in the introduction of the Mondrian guest adventure across Asia Pacific.
Mr. Robert C. Hauck, General Manager of Mondrian Singapore Duxton, stressed the brand’s goal of becoming Singapore’s heart and soul: “A catalyst to forge connections with like-minded people, innovators and the wild at heart.”
