Sentosa can now boast of its very own beer. The popular leisure attraction island has tied up with craft brewery Brewerkz to create and launch Islander Brew, which features craft beers of four different flavours.
Islander Brew is unique in that its four flavours are inspired by edible plants found on Sentosa Island – namely cacao, lime, jasmine and nutmeg – and are named after landmarks on the island – Siloso Beach, Tanjong Rimau, Fort Siloso and Bukit Manis.
Those who prefer a light beer would find delight in the refreshing Siloso Beach (Lime Sea Salt Kosh), brewed with sea salt and kaffir lime. Bukit Manis (Jasmine Kolsch) intoxicates the senses with its jasmine aroma and has a crisp and fruity taste. Tanjong Rimau (Yuzu Nutmeg Witbier) adds a unique take on the classic wheat beer with its hints of yuzu, nutmeg and coriander. For beer drinkers who love a stronger flavour, go for Fort Siloso (Chocolate Vanilla Porter) that stirs the palate with its rich chocolate flavour and coffee and vanilla notes.
Available for a period of one year, the Islander Brew beers are sold from 1 December 2020 at participating Sentosa food and beverage outlets. From 7 December onwards, they can also be purchased at Brewerkz, participating online retail outlets and supermarkets such as Cold Storage, Cheers, FairPrice Finest and FairPrice Xtra.
