The current pandemic might not show signs of relenting but the show must go on. Organised by the Textile and Fashion Federation (TaFF), fashion design competition Singapore Stories is taking the digital route to bring its final showcase to the public.
On 29 October 2020, you will be able to view the highly anticipated unveiling of the five capsule collections from the Singapore Stories finalists on Singapore-stories.com/watch-now at 8pm (Singapore time). Beyond a digital fashion show, the audience will be brought through the journey of the eight-month-long competition via a docu-style video.
Singapore Stories is a platform for Singapore-based designers to showcase their talents to an international audience. At the end of the fashion video, the Singapore Stories 2020 winner will be announced. Viewers will also get to watch exclusive highlights of the designers’ journey at the last leg of the competition and runway show of the capsule collections.
This year’s theme is about the Past, Present and Future of Singapore. The five finalists are Adelyn Putri from Nude Femme, Carol Chen from Carol Chen Official, Cara Chiang from CYC, Mette Hartman from MARTHA WHO and Nida Tahir Shaheryar from NIDA SHAY.
The winner will be presented with the Singapore Fashion Award, and have their winning look showcased in the fashion exhibition at Asian Civilisations Museum, a runway debut at Paris Fashion Week with Fashion Division and a retail opportunity with locally-based omni-channel platform, SocietyA.
The event is free for members of the public and you can register for the event here. Visit TaFF’s website and the Singapore Stories microsite for more information.
