Mindfulness and consciousness seem to be the trend these days. And if you are one who supports such causes, you should really make a trip to LOOP, Singapore’s first and longest pop-up championing sustainability awareness.
Happening from 1 December till 31 December 2018 at The Incubator in Esplanade Park, LOOP brings together more than 100 local eco-conscious craft makers, food and beverage vendors and a string of workshops available to engage visitors in thinking consciously about their personal consumptions. The lifestyle festival spans over five weekends and aims to encourage cultivating a cleaner and greener Singapore interactively and teach visitors some simple changes they can make in their daily lives to create a sustainable living environment.
Restricting the use of Single-Use Plastic at LOOP
At LOOP, visitors are discouraged from using any form of single-use plastic and are encouraged to choose more environmentally-friendly options such as reusable bags and mugs. To encourage visitors to reduce the use of plastic, visitors will receive a complimentary metal straw (subject to availability) when visitors share about LOOP with the hashtag #LOOPSG on their various social media platforms.
Last-minute Christmas shopping at LOOP
Still searching for Christmas gifts? Well, you can do your shopping at LOOP! At the event, you can also indulge in a retail experience driven by local craft makers who aim to promote the move towards sustainability. These products can be brought home as cool souvenirs or unique Christmas gifts. Some of these products include redesigned seashell creations and jewellery from Gifts of Nature SG, bamboo utensils, straws and even toothbrushes from The Bamboo Straw Girl. Also, relish in yummy street eats from LOOP’s participating food and beverage vendors including SawadeeCup Food Truck, Saiko Butter Brew, Hello Foodie SG and Encik Rizal& Co.
The space also serves as a co-sharing workspace for visitors who want to get work done. You can sit at the dedicated picnic area while enjoying live music performances by talented local buskers. Or, gather your family and friends for a relaxing evening with LOOP, and catch a movie at the Pop-Up Cinema brought to event-goers by Popcorn in partnership with LOOP.
LOOP is open from 4pm to 10pm on weekdays and 10am to 10pm on weekends.
