It’s pretty much a given that Singaporeans love Thailand and all that the Land of Smiles has to offer. And if you still can’t get enough of all things Thai, the Royal Thai Embassy is opening its doors to the public this weekend for The Finest Thai, a lifestyle event showcasing the finer side of food, fashion, living and more of Thailand.
Supported by Thai premium property developer Sansiri, The Finest Thai is happening from 8 to 10 September 2017 (Friday to Sunday), 12pm to 9pm. You will find more than 100 Thai fashion, culinary, lifestyle and craft brands at the event.
The Finest Thai will be divided into six experiential zones:
The Finest of Cuisine
No event is complete without food, right? You can expect as many as 35 stalls (and food trucks!) from the best eating establishments in Thailand, bringing Thai cuisine specially flown in for this event. The news that got us all excited is popular Thai dessert café After You will be in Singapore for the first time. Try the exclusive durian bingsu from After You!
Foodies, keep a lookout for these as well at the event:
The Finest of Living
Sansiri will be showcasing with an exhibition on premium residential options in the hipster areas, Thong Lo and Ekamai. Get yourself acquainted with these two districts, which are now the places to be seen at with all the chic cafes, trendy restaurants and yoga studios.
The Finest of Fashion and Design
Thai fashion designers have long intrigued both industry players and consumers alike. Discover some of the edgy designs with the internationally recognised Tube Gallery, Good Mixer, Q Design and Play, Iconic O.D.S. and FABLAB Multi-Designer House – all of which will be at the event.
The Finest of Craftsmanship
Learn the age-old art of silk weaving.
The Finest of Gifts
Get your shopping fix here. Some of our favourite Thai brands such as HARNN and Earth Republic, along with over 20 other brands, will be selling their items.
The Finest of Performances and Workshops
Renowned Thai brand Jim Thompson will be bringing Thai classical dance performances and cooking demonstrations here. Visitors can also learn a skill or two at workshops in this experiential zone, such as learning how to produce Thai handicraft items. Kids get to join in the fun too through learning to draw cartoon characters.
