On a mission to create the “world’s best jeans”, UNIQLO launched its Jeans Innovation Centre in Los Angeles, the U.S. last fall to collaborate with world-renowned fabric makers and research cutting-edge production technologies. And earlier this month on 20 July, Uniqlo unveiled the Centre’s new range of jeans was unveiled at its Global Flagship Store at Orchard Central, Singapore.
Comprising the Men’s Ultra Stretch Skinny Fit Jeans, Women’s High Rise Cigarette Jeans and EZY Jeans for both men and women, the new jeans are crafted with a focus on the ‘3Fs’ of exceptional jeans – fabric, fit, and finish – for a look that’s comfortable yet ultra stylish.
Men’s Ultra-Stretch Skinny Fit Jeans
First among the new jeans on offer is UNIQLO’S popular Ultra Stretch Skinny Fit Jeans (S$59.90) – now available for men. The Jeans Innovation Centre has reworked this trendy favourite by incorporating Ultra Stretch fabric to create extremely slim and stretchy jeans for men. In fact, the jeans are so stretchy that it’s hard to believe they are made of denim! These would make a good fit whether you’re being active or pigging out at a buffet.
Women’s High Rise Cigarette Jeans
Also newly launched is the Women’s High Rise Cigarette Jeans (S$59.90), which come in a fashionably sleek, straight cut to make legs look slimmer and longer. Created with stretch denim to optimise softness and comfort, these jeans are great for those who want to rock the high-rise trend without sacrificing comfort.
Both the Men’s Ultra Stretch Skinny Fit Jeans and Women’s High Rise Cigarette Jeans are made with stretch denim from Kaihara Corporation, which is famous for their high-quality Japanese denim.
EZY Jeans for women
Ever wished that your sweatpants looked cool enough for a night on the town? The EZY Jeans for men and women (S$49.90) feature a soft back pile fabric that makes them feel just like sweatpants while looking like authentic vintage jeans. The EZY Jeans also feature an adjustable elastic waistband, for a snug, comfortable fit without the need for a belt.
The jeans are part of UNIQLO’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection and are inspired by the fashion of Los Angeles, where the Jeans Innovation Centre is based. UNIQLO’s Women’s High Rise Cigarette Jeans, Men’s Ultra Stretch Skinny Fit Jeans and Men’s EZY Jeans are now available in all UNIQLO stores and online while Women’s EZY Jeans will be available from 7 August 2017.
