The prestigious Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants awards ceremony concluded last night at Bangkok’s W Hotel. Last year’s top winner – the Bangkok-based Gaggan – once again took top spot for the third consecutive year.
Restaurant André from Singapore also found cause for celebration with its move from third spot last year to second this year. Two other Singapore restaurants also made it to the Top 10 list; Odette clinched ninth spot as the highest new entry while Burnt Ends found its way to the 10th position.
Launched in 2013, Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants is based on votes cast by over 300 luminaries in the restaurant industry across Asia, made up largely of food writers, critics, chefs and restaurateurs.
