When your day seems topsy-turvy and stormy as can be, there’s nothing quite as tranquil as a nice hot cup of tea. Renowned for their consistency in quality, signature aroma and refined taste, 1872 Clipper Tea can perk your day up the way just when you need that bit of warmth.
Christmas has always been the most magical festive season of the year, with decorative lights all over town, as everyone celebrates the season of giving. This year end, 1872 Clipper Tea has added their own magic and enchantment to this festive season, as it introduces three new refreshing blends for their Christmas collection. The three blends – Wake Up Happy, Day of Celebration and A Good Nightcap – would be the perfect companion for this Christmas.
To kick off the year-end festivities, I attended 1872 Clipper Tea’s first ever ‘Tea Par-tea’ on 17 November, held at The Hive Singapore, where I had the chance to try each of their new blends, with a beautiful rooftop view of the sun setting over the city skyline.
First off, I had a go at the joyful-sounding Wake Up Happy, an Apple Pie Black Tea that is 1872 Clipper Tea’s very own ‘perk-me-up’ for this holiday season. This classic blend of Ceylon black tea, infused with subtle hints of apple and sweet cinnamon spice, was a real treat to my senses. Aptly named, its rich aroma is bound to give you the perfect morning after a long night of Christmas celebration over this festive period.
If Wake Up Happy brightens your morning after a night of partying and fun, then Day of Celebration would be the perfect beverage for the party itself. A Champagne Black tea, mixed with cherry, cream and blackcurrant bits for the perfect balance between floral and fruity fragrances, this blend of tea is the perfect companion to pair with Christmas cakes and goodies.
As I watched the sun set and the city lights take over the night sky, I treated myself to a cup of A Good Nightcap, a soothing blend of Peppermint Chamomile tea. It has a gentle aroma that relaxes the mind and body, ensuring a smooth transition from a night of fun and celebration to a good night’s sleep.
Apart from introducing its unique Christmas collection at the party, 1872 Clipper Tea also partnered with café Dulcet & Studio, which provided tea-flavoured cream puffs that are available from 1 December onwards (Matcha was my favourite, in case you are wondering), and Cheng Yew Heng Candy Factory, which creates rock sugar sticks called Jewels, which are the perfect accompaniment to teas.
Christmas is a magical occasion when family and friends come together to rejoice in treats and drinks and to celebrate the season of love and giving. What better way to have a tea-riffic time together while embracing the season of giving than to share the magic of 1872 Clipper Tea’s Christmas blends with your loved ones?
1872 Clipper Tea’s Christmas blends will be in stores from 1 November onwards, and the 3-in-1 Christmas gift set (3 x 25g) retails at S$40, while individual blends retail at S$15 per blend. 1872 Clipper Tea stores can be found at Ion Orchard, Raffles City, Tang Plaza and The Heeren in Singapore.
