After a lengthy two and a half year hiatus, Mandopop songstress Angela Zhang has finally launched her latest album “Head Over Heels” earlier this year in July. Featuring a wide array of talented illustrators and copywriters to work on 10 different illustrated stories for the 10 brand new songs on the album, the final product is truly an epitome of an artistic piece of work combining both art and pop culture.
On the concept of the album, Angela explained that she wanted to maintain the purest and most original intentions, “free of any complication or impurities of the mind and soul”.
What’s more exciting perhaps, to fans both young and old, is that after nine long years, Angela will be back in Singapore for the sixth stop of her “100% Angela Zhang World Tour”. Held on 18 November 2016 at the Suntec City Convention and Exhibition Centre, Singapore fans can expect a night of whimsical, exhilarating, heartwarming, and emotion-filled musical experience.
Angela, whose petite build belies her powerful vocals, promises to take fans on a trip down memory lane as she shares her most earnest feelings on her pursuit of music and dreams over the past decade.
The “100% Angela Zhang World Tour” Singapore stop will unfold in three segments, namely “I: The Origins”, “Self: Honest Confession” and “Transcend: Exceeding Limits”. Look forward to dazzling concert costumes and nearly over 40 newly-arranged music tracks in the rundown, as well as a concert essential for the songbird – a beautiful medley of her classic hits everyone can (and certainly will) sing along to.
