This June, celebrate World Burger Month at the Sentosa outlet of the iconic entertainment house in Singapore, and take your pick from a menu that showcases the best of Local Legendary Burgers from around the world.
The Giardiniera Deli Burger (Chicago)
We were told of the four Legendary Hard Rock Burgers, one of which is the shiny Giardiniera Deli Burger (Chicago) (S$30). Cheese lovers would find delight in the melted provolone cheese amidst the generous serving of sliced roast beef. Vegetables lovers, fret not – you will be glad to know that the Chicago features plenty of roasted red pepper, pickles, carrots, and giardiniera pepper, providing lots of crunch with every mouthful.
The Satay Burger (Singapore) ($25)
The Satay Burger (Singapore) (S$25) is a wonderful tribute to our country. The trusty all-beef patty is nicely sandwiched between softly toasted buns and perfectly complemented by cucumber planks and a handful of arugula. The best part of this burger would have to be its distinctive Asian peanut sauce. Singapore represent!
The Golden Gate Burger (San Francisco)
Looking significantly less badass than its counterparts, the Golden Gate Burger (San Francisco) (S$27) pales a little in the taste category as well. It tastes pretty much like what it looks – sliced salami put together with grilled onions, swiss cheese and pickled. The thousand island dressing does a fine job of enhancing the taste of the salami, but that’s pretty much it. Unless you find beauty in simplicity, or prefer something lighter on the palate, you may wish to give this a miss.
Big Little Italy Burger (New York)
Our favourite burger on the World Burger Month menu is the New York-inspired Big Little Italy Burger. This rebel, we were told by the chef, is a “pizza take on a burger”, featuring pepperoni, fried mozzarella cheese, sautéed mushrooms and pizza sauce. As if that aren’t enough bells and whistles, breaded cheese sticks are tossed into the mix, resulting into an explosion of flavours with every mouth. Yum.
A meal at Hard Rock without a cocktail in hand simply does not feel right. In addition to the stunning burgers, Hard Rock Singapore has created a line of cocktails to complement the World Burger offerings.
The Sweet & Fiery, the Black Cherry Lemonade, the All Jacked Up, the Crisp Sipper and the Melonpalooza
Go for the Crisp Sipper, a refreshing, crispy blend of Hendrick’s, Monin Cucumber, tonic, raspberry, orange, and lime with an elegant touch of rosemary and thyme. It is absolutely perfect for the Singapore weather. If you’re looking for something alcohol-free, the Black Cherry Melonade mocktail might tickle your fancy.
If you haven’t been to Hard Rock Cafe Sentosa, now’s a jolly good time. Grab your favourite burger in one hand, cocktail in another while catching up with your pal. The uninterrupted glorious rock music playing in the cafe (we heard Lorde, Avicii, and Maroon 5 while I was there) did nothing but to elevate my whole Hard Rock experience.
