Dilemma: your laptop is way too chunky to be used on a crowded MRT, but your phone screen is too small and the words are too tiny, and you have a document to be rushed out at the last minute on your way to work. With the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S, you no longer have to worry about this problem.
Samsung Electronics Singapore has announced the launch of its first 2-in-1 premium tablet that is an ideal combination of both laptop and tablet capabilities. It boasts a variety of features, and is uniquely powered by Windows 10, able to support LTE Category 6 capabilities. Essentially, geek-speak aside, it means fast network speeds on-the-go, when you most need it.
The device is catered for users that are always rushing from place to place, professionals that hope to maximize productivity at every moment, where connectivity has become an integral part of their everyday lives.
The Galaxy TabPro S is easily one of the slimmest Windows 10 devices, measuring 6.3mm and only weighing 693g. Its 12-inch exterior design is simple and stylish, with a sleek metal frame reminiscent of the Galaxy S7.
It will serve as a convenient, trusty companion, coming with a full-sized keyboard dock and cover with no additional charge. The keyboard comes with a hinge that gives users flexibility of a dual-viewing angle, functioning almost like a semi-laptop, with the same functionality but added convenience. These handy features are what makes the Galaxy TabPro S easy to throw into your bags when you’re in a rush to make your next appointment. Moreover, the keyboard’s Pogo pin makes sure no separate pairing or charging is required- less hassle, more productivity.
And we’re only getting started. Additionally, the TabPro features a SUPER AMOLED display that gives true-to-life colours and high resolution details for you to enjoy movies, videos or photos in the absolute best quality. The 2160×1400 pixel touchscreen display has deeper colour contrast that displays richer blacks, thus causing other colours to stand out in vivid tones. This integrated display is also power-efficient, saving your battery life for all your important tasks.
The tablet is compatible with all your high-performance needs, providing up to 10.5 hours of battery life with a single 2.5 hour charge. Samsung has worked seamlessly with Intel to fit the device with a fanless Intel® CoreTM M processor that comes with a 4GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB memory, depending on your preference.
As mentioned, it is equipped with the Windows 10 system, and thus users will not miss out on features in existing IT infrastructures. The compatibility provides ease at work and beyond that, TabPro users can treat themselves to Windows Apps, with hundreds of thousands of programmes to boost productivity, indulge in entertainment, or sort out daily needs.
Finally, the agonies of slow Internet will not be an issue with the Galaxy TabPro S, given its browsing and download speeds of up to 300Mbp. Work will only be made more enjoyable and efficient with its capabilities of accessing Samsung SideSync 4.04. Users can effortlessly link and share screens between the TabPro and their own Samsung handsets, and perform tasks like sending messages, file transfer and sharing from the TabPro.
Similar to the 12-inch Apple MacBook, the Galaxy TabPro S only has a single USB Type-C connection. For connection to external displays or for charging devices, users can purchase an additional Multi-Port Adapter for S$128 to complete the productivity experience. The separate Adapter will provide a HDMI, USB A and USB C output. The rich colours in the TabPro’s display also makes it a hit with professional designers, and users hoping to draw and annotate their files can do so with the TabPro Pen accessory, available for S$98. Both complementary accessories can be found in all Samsung Experience Stores.
The device will be in stores from 30 April 2016; its sleek designs released in monochrome options of black and white. It retails at the price of S$1698, with a full-sized ergonomic keyboard and touchpad. Get it at local telecommunications operators, major consumer electronics stores, authorized retailers, and Samsung Experience Stores across Singapore.
