International phenomenon Blue Man Group is currently performing in Singapore as part of their World Tour. Having been in 15 countries and seen by more than 35 million people since 1991, the show is a dynamic combination of music, colour and sights. Blue Man Group has enthralled audiences with comedy, fresh stories and state-of-the-art technology. Here are some trivia that you do not know about Blue Man Group:

There are more than three Blue Men
You may only see three head-to-toe blue performers on the stage at any one time. What you may not know is that there are actually many more performers. The performers are all trained and can jump in to fill in the roles at any time. In the smaller shows, there are usually seven full-time performers while in bigger shows, there would be more; for instance, the Vegas show has about 19. Currently, there are about 75 Blue Men worldwide.

It takes one hour for each Blue Man to get ready
Want that same dewy wet-paint look? Get this, it takes a good full hour for each man to get into full costume just before each show. The make-up process involves wearing a special bald cap that goes over the ears, and slapping on a thick layer of grease paint.

Each performer has a different role
Just because they look the same doesn’t mean they have the same job to do. Each performer has a different persona to undertake – the personality and task for each performance differs from one performer to another.

It’s not just men
Women audition for the roles too. There has been appearances of Blue Women in performances before.
