In an attempt to extend the reach of famed club Zouk, Genting Hong Kong – the new owner of Zouk – will be bringing the iconic festival ZoukOut beyond Singapore to other countries in the region. This year, ZoukOut will travel to three other Asian cities. The first ZoukOut of the year, called ZoukOut Prelude Edition, will take place at Boracay, the Philippines from 30 April to 1 May at Epic and Uptown Beachfront (Station 2).
“With ZoukOut Boracay, we are repositioning ourselves regionally with a strong focus on Japan, Hong Kong and the Philippines,” said Andrew Li, Vice President, Lifestyle and F&B Concepts, Genting Hong Kong and Executive Chairman, Zouk. “This in turn will create stronger brand awareness of ZoukOut Singapore, which we also plan to innovate and revitalize later this year in December.”
Li added that there are plans to penetrate other exciting and dynamic locations such as Hong Kong and Japan in time to come.
Internationally acclaimed DJ and record producer, Kaskade, headlines a total of 11 acts, both global and local, that will feature prominently in this first overseas edition of ZoukOut. New additions to the ZoukOut roster include DJ Royale & Junior, DJ Vice, Dubvision, DVBBS and MMXJ. The festival is expected to attract a crowd of 5,000.
