P. Bistro has unveiled its second outlet and brand-new gourmet menu situated in the heart of Singapore – Orchard Road. Its fascinating menu is beautifully catered to the taste buds of locals through using local spices that bind the taste of the fusion(french and western) dish wonderfully.
Having graduated from two of the most prestigious culinary schools in the world – Le Cordon Bleu Paris and Ecole Lenôtre, Chef Min Yee brings us dishes at reasonable prices without forgoing any creativity and quality in the food.
Here are some noteworthy dishes that will leave you wanting to come back for more:
Fugu Japanese Grilled Puffer Fish with Flying Fish Roe
The Fugu Japanese Grilled Puffer Fish with Flying Fish Roe (S$12) was a surprising dish. I was not expecting it to taste similar to the sweet delectable roasted pork slices, bak kwa – strong yet sweet.
Tangy Pomelo Salad
The Tangy Pomelo Salad (S$12) features fresh cherries, tomatoes, shallots, coriander, red chilli slices and mesclun, evenly dressed in Chef’s Special Tamarind Dressing. The taste was rather refreshing while the sweetness from the pomelo was not overwhelming. Coupled with a slight spiciness from the chilli slices, the salad was simply heavenly.
Asian Red Curry Seafood Pasta
The Asian Red Curry Seafood Pasta (S$24) is a dish overflowing with seafood flavours. What’s more, the servings are generous. I savoured a sweet and spicy flavour in every bite.
The star of the night has to be the Nonya Dory (S$18). The fish was done just right and paired with Chef’s Special Peranakan Sauce while cooked on a banana leaf, the sauce reminded me of my childhood, just like what Grandma and Mum used to make.
Fresh Kühlbarra Barramundi White Fish Fillet
The Fresh Kühlbarra Barramundi White Fish Fillet (S$26) is essentially Pan-seared Barramundi Fillet, Seasonal Vegetables, Lemon Butter Sauce. The sauce was rather unique, lending the dish a tangy flavour.
