Bargain hunters alert. A new factory outlet has recently opened in Malacca, Malaysia. Freeport A’Famosa Outlet has officially opened its doors on 5 December 2015, much to the delight of shopaholics. This is a joint venture between London-based Outlet specialist Freeport Retail Ltd and Langkah Realiti Sdn Bhd, the owners of the adjacent A’Famosa Resort.
The outlet village offers over 60 fashion, sport and accessories brands at reduced prices, including Nike, Cotton On, Esprit, Puma, G2000, Carlo Rino, Clarks, Forever 21 and Samsonite. Another 40 shops are expected to be opened in 2016. Set in an open air mall featuring a lake, fountains and architecture loosely themed on Malacca’s Dutch heritage, this outlet is located close by the Alor Gajah toll on the North-South Expressway. What’s more, the outlet provides 1,200 free car parking spaces.
In the run-up to the end of the year and towards Chinese New Year, you can look forward to an exciting range of activities to complement the great deals available. There will even be a nightly fireworks show to add to all the shopping excitement.
So why not consider taking this weekend off to have a fun day out bargain hunting at Malacca? Be prepared to shop till you drop.

How to Get There
By Car:
FROM KUALA LUMPUR
From the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza, Kuala Lumpur, head east towards the North South Highway/E2 (Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan), there will be a toll here. Continue on the highway to Alor Gajah Interchange (Lebuh AMJ/Route19) in Kampung Taboh, Alor Gajah. Take the exit on 227-Simpang Ampat on the North South Highway/AH2/E2, and your toll charges will be paid here. Continue into Jalan Kemus/Simpang Empat/M10 to arrive at Freeport A’Famosa Outlet.
FROM MALACCA
From Bandar Hilir, Malacca, drive on Lorong Bukit Cina and Jalan Temenngong to Jalan Munshi Abdullah/Route 5 in Kampung Banda Kaba. At the roundabout, please take the first exit on to Jalan Munshi Abdullah/Route 5. From Lebuh Ayer Keroh/Route 143, please take the North South Highway/AH2/E2 (Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan) in Durian Tunggal, there will be a toll here. Continue on the highway to exit at Alor Gajah and you can pay your toll charges at this exit. Drive into Jalan Kemus/Simpang Empat/M10 to arrive at Freeport A’Famosa Outlet.

Daily Coach from Singapore, KL, KLIA/KLIA2 & Malacca Central
There is a daily coach for a return trip from Kuala Lumpur to A’Famosa Resort, Malacca and the same from Singapore to A’Famosa Resort, a service run by Nice and Nice Imperial for luxury and executive coach. Various time schedule and pickup points are available.
