Beating over 22,630 applicants, 27-year-old Daniel Osgodby has landed probably the best job this side of town, clinching the role of Carlsberg beer taster. He went through some a unique interview process which included a blind taste test, answering awkward questions, role play with the interviewers and even have to serenade to a mug of Carlsberg!
Daniel has taken part in Carlsberg Singapore’s Probably the Best Job in the World campaign which concluded on 15 December 2015. The innovative recruitment campaign was launched on 23 November on http://probablythebest.com.sg/. The campaign successfully attracted overwhelming response , and garnered over 10,000 entries in just two days.
“Our five finalists have demonstrated an incredible sense of spontaneity, wit and humour throughout this interview process,” said Jolene Yeo, Marketing Director of Carlsberg Singapore. “Having outshined over 22,000 hopefuls and qualified for this final phase of the selection process, we believe the candidates can walk the talk of the Carlsberg brand identity of always doing things better. We were very impressed by the passion and creativity demonstrated by the shortlisted candidates today.”
Daniel will take on the role of Carlsberg ambassador at SC Food Station coffeeshop located at Serangoon Central and Hannibal European Grill and Bar at Robertson Quay while being chauffeured around on the 18 Dec 2015.
For all the hard work of convincing people to drink Carlsberg, he will also receive S$10,000 for the role. Not bad for just four hours of work!
