BLISSOUT is probably the most exciting wellness event of 2015 in Singapore that brought the best of two words yoga and music in one spectacular evening. The first-of-the-kind event was held on 12 December 2015 and more than 1,000 participants swarmed into The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay as they awaited the experience that fed their body, spirit and musical soul.
The event started with a yoga session, Fire and Nectar – Tantra Vinyasa, led by Los Angeles-based and internationally celebrated teacher Sianna Sherman. Sherman was featured in the Yoga Journal as one of 21 top talented young teachers. The session catered to practitioners of all levels. Participants were also guided by renowned local teachers Lynn Yeo and Sumei Shum, and led through a series of igniting yoga poses that kindled the creative energy within each yogi.
Home-grown singer-songwriter Inch Chua kicked off the music festival with a fresh blend of indie-rock melodies with her band The Metric System. They performed the hit singles, Mousedeer, Rule The World and Artful Dodger, as well as other tracks from her latest album “Letters to Ubin”.
The evening then thrilled local and international (who flew from overseas just to catch the performing artistes) fans of Indie music, with Kiwi electronic band, The Naked and Famous, rocking their stage for the second time in Singapore. The Auckland-based band enthralled fans with songs from their latest album “In Rolling Waves”, and other tracks from their hottest singles such as Young Blood, Punching In A Dream and Hearts Like Ours. The Naked and Famous are also in the midst of preparing to release their new album in 2016. We hope to see them again in Singapore soon!
