Singapore is becoming a sports hub in Asia and South East Asia, hosting not only the World Rugby Sevens Series in 2016, but also home-grown events like the SCC 7s. Arnauld Lhoste, Head of Global Markets Sales, Societe Generale, Southeast Asia, said he hopes that hosting such events will spur the growth of rugby in Singapore and promote Singapore as a long-term partner for international rugby events. SCC 7s is one of the oldest rugby tournaments invitational team sports events, especially in Singapore, and has a heritage as the ‘Friendly 7s’.
The SCC 7s coincides with this Saturday’s Rugby World Cup Finals, held in London, which will be screened live in the evening and the audience at the Padang will be able to enjoy an exciting Halloween party, a highlight to the SCC 7s.
