Male fashion brand Simon Carter is upping the ante this season with a new capsule collection launch. Simon Carter is a London-based menswear retail brand with a whimsical English touch on its the products. The brand’s clothing and accessories are carried by multiple British department stores including Fortnum & Mason and House of Fraser.
At the launch of Simon Carter x Rad Russel, a special collaboration comprising 10 men’s dress shoes styles, Simon Carter, the founder and managing director of the brand, unveiled the collection and shared his thoughts about the current menswear trend, tips on infusing a little bit of London-ness in our everyday (read: work) wear, and choosing the right type of shoes for each outfit.
There’s no mistaking when someone wears a Simon Carter; the signature cinnamon colour laces are flamboyant in their own right, and the inner leather lining and heels carry the same unmistakable shade, resulting in fashion pieces that are classic and timeless.
Simon Carter expresses his delight at this new collection: “I’m delighted to bring my sense of London style (and) well-known detailing to (Rad Russel’s) beautiful shoes to produce a collection that is stylish and unique.”
From a Derby to an Oxford, a navy-black to a brown-tan colour combination, this new capsule collection has it all covered. All the pieces have a special edition stamp of the collaboration on the underside of the sole, and they look remarkable yet subtle, breathing a little individuality as opposed to other Simon Carter shoes.
I spied the retail prices of most of the shoes are above S$200, but when you are talking about redefining your style, or to make a fashion statement, there is no price too high for a wardrobe mainstay. These pieces are hand-burnished for a really unique finish. Topping off the launch, Mister Minit, the leather care specialist, was at the event to help guests bring back the shine to their leather wear.
Footwear aside, Rad Russel also carries a variety of accessories, including cufflinks and watches from the Simon Carter brand. The pricing of each product ranges from S$60 upwards, and the quirkiness of each piece will definitely help you channel your inner expressionist and definitely draw more glances from the ladies in the boardroom.
Rad Russel is currently the only store in Singapore that carries Simon Carter products, in addition to the capsule collection pieces.
