The wait is over.
The Niantic mobile game Pokémon GO, which has taken the world by storm since July, has finally arrived on the shores of Singapore. While there has been no official word from the gamemaker, you can now find the game available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play store.
Singapore is considered somewhat late to the game in the region; the game has already been launched in other parts of Asia such as Indonesia, Hong Kong and Japan.
Pokémon GO requires the player to scour real-life locations to hunt for and capture virtual Pokémon (pocket monsters). It uses geo-location and augmented reality technology.
We have tried the game in Indonesia and we gotta say it’s really addictive. One word of caution – watch where you are going while playing the game.
