McDonald’s Singapore’s latest menu elicited a big OMG from us. It is launching a new Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Burger, Salt and Pepper Crab Flavoured Twist & Shake Fries and Gula Melaka McFlurry. We are getting heart palpitations just from the news – in a good way, of course.
The salted egg yolk craze does not seem to be dying down just yet, and McDonald’s has jumped onto the bandwagon with the new Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Burger (available a la carte from S$5.75). McDonald’s rendition infuses the rich, salty-sweet taste we all so love with a chicken patty, along with curry leaves and lettuce on a black pepper sesame seed bun.
Adding a local twist to fries is the Twist & Shake Fries with Salt and Pepper Crab Flavoured Shaker. The Twist & Shake Fries is a combination of Loop Fries and Shaker Fries. McDonald’s decided to up the ante with the flavourful Salt & Pepper Crab seasoning. You can get the Twist & Shake Fries (M) with Salt & Pepper Crab Flavoured Shaker for S$3.40 or enjoy it with any Extra Value Meal by topping up S$0.60.
A good meal has to end on a sweet note, of course. McD has also created the new Gula Melaka McFurry with Layer Cake Bites. Inspired by kueh lapis and Gula Melaka – the sweet ingredient commonly used in local desserts, the Gula Melaka McFlurry with Layer Cake Bites is available from S$2.90.
Not a fan of soft serve ice cream? Opt for the Banana Pie then. Those of you who love your goreng pisang are bound to like the Banana Pie (S$1.20).
The brand new offerings are available at all McDonald’s outlets and via McDelivery from 30 June 2016 for a limited period of time only.
