As the Lunar New Year beckons, LEGOLAND® Malaysia Resort is inviting families to join them in a brick-built ‘Garden of Prosperity’ celebration that will run till 22 February! For the Year of the Horse, the theme park has been transformed into a festive playground for both adults and children that is filled with red lanterns, cherry blossoms and LEGO® creations. And of course, the horse features prominently amid the revelry. We did an overnight jaunt to Iskandar Puteri to discover what LEGOLAND has in store for the spring festival and the exclusive offers that guests from Singapore can look forward to.
With thundering drums and a lion dance, LEGOLAND Malaysia Vice President C.S. Lim launched the Lunar New Year festivities located near the theme park entrance, accompanied by LEGOLAND characters Jack and Emily. At the centre of the celebration is a 2.4 metre LEGO® Horse to usher in strength, renewal and good fortune in the coming lunar year. This stunning centrepiece is inspired by the very collectible LEGO 40779 Year of the Horse Chinese Zodiac Limited Edition set, and carries an auspicious scroll that says “马到成功”-which means “to achieve instant success”.
Build Your Luck, Brick by Brick
Make that trip to LEGOLAND, and get on board the horse-y action by participating in the interactive activities. Guests can pick up an activity card and complete the following creative challenges as a family:
- LEGO Horse Post & Win: Snap a photo with the horse centrepiece and post it on social media for weekly prizes!
- Build-A-Horse: Create your own symbol of energy, courage and good fortune!
- LEGO Orange Tree Making: Build and bring this prosperity mini tree home!
- LEGO Chinese Calligraphy Mural: Get artistic with your Chinese characters to ring in the Year of the Horse
- Minifigure Trading: Trade your classic favourite figurines!
