Singapore’s wellness landscape welcomes a new addition with the opening of Shelter by ReFormd, a thoughtfully designed 3,000-square-foot recovery space at One Raffles Link. Positioned between City Hall, Marina Square and Esplanade MRT, the venue offers a convenient refuge for those seeking to make recovery part of their everyday routine rather than an occasional luxury. Shelter opens its doors to the public on 12 October 2025.
A Recovery Ritual Rooted in Simplicity
Shelter adopts a streamlined, science-driven approach to wellness. Guests move through a structured circuit anchored by three core elements: cold immersion in pools cooled to three degrees Celsius, a 15-square-metre warm salt pool designed to ease the body into a slower rhythm, and a traditional dry sauna that can accommodate up to twenty people. The experience is supported by a compression therapy lounge featuring Normatec systems, offering additional relief for fatigued legs and muscles.
While the facilities are built for function, the environment has been crafted with equal intention. Daylight filters gently through glass brick walls, cove lighting softens transitions between rooms, and the interplay of concrete, wood and greenery creates a soothing palette. Stainless-steel signage has been custom-designed to catch light subtly without glare. Partnering with Aesop, the space offers Geranium Leaf Body Cleanser, Resurrection Hand Wash and hair care products in the showers, turning daily cleansing into a small act of ritual. Heavyweight cotton towels by tattoo artist Maxine Ng, featuring her signature tulip motif, are used throughout the venue and appear across Shelter’s uniforms and merchandise.
Shelter positions itself as an accessible form of luxury. Membership begins at sixty-five dollars per week, with complimentary wet attire provided for all guests. As Mr Darryl Tan, Marketing Manager of ReFormd Group, notes, the concept was created to make recovery a consistent practice. The focus is on heat, cold and the quiet pause in between, offered at a price point that encourages frequent visits.
Shelter is situated at One Raffles Link within CityLink Mall and operates daily from seven in the morning to ten at night. Visitors can expect quality touches, including Aesop amenities, premium towels and a curated selection of refreshments in the lounge.
