Camouflage has long been synonymous with rugged military roots and streetwear culture, but G-SHOCK is proving the timeless pattern can be luxurious too. The Japanese watchmaker has unveiled its new Bold Camo collection, combining matte camouflage finishes with gleaming gold accents to create one of its most fashion-forward collections yet.
Rather than simply printing camouflage onto a watch, G-SHOCK has developed an exclusive pattern that cleverly hides the brand’s iconic “G” mark within the design. It’s a subtle detail that rewards a closer look and gives the collection a distinctive identity beyond traditional camo prints.
The collection also introduces refreshed dial graphics, with redesigned logos and feature indicators that lend familiar G-SHOCK silhouettes a cleaner, more contemporary appearance.
The Bold Camo collection spans six watches based on some of G-SHOCK’s most recognisable designs, catering to both long-time collectors and newcomers.
Leading the range is the GM-6900CMG-3, which arguably offers the most premium execution. Its stainless-steel bezel undergoes multiple polishing processes before receiving a gold ion-plated finish. Partial laser etching reveals the camouflage pattern across the bezel, while the printed urethane strap completes the military-inspired aesthetic.
Fans of the classic 6900 silhouette will also find the DW-6900CMG-3, which retains the familiar three-eye digital display but updates it with G-SHOCK’s signature camouflage motif, gold accents and redesigned dial lettering for a fresh twist on a cult favourite.
Those who prefer analogue-digital watches can look towards the GA-700CMG-3A, featuring dimensional hands, angular case lines and glossy gold detailing created using vapour deposition technology. Multi-angle printing across both the bezel and strap adds further depth to the camouflage pattern.
For wearers who like oversized watches, the GA-V01CMG-3A delivers perhaps the boldest look in the collection. Its organic case design is complemented by multi-angle camouflage printing and striking gold highlights, while also boasting an impressive battery life of up to 10 years.
Completing the lineup are the DW-6900CF-1 and GA-700CF-1A, both finished in black with camouflage patterns extending across the entire dial. Gold detailing and negative LCD displays create a stealthier interpretation of the Bold Camo theme.
While the aesthetics have received a significant update, the watches remain unmistakably G-SHOCK underneath.
Across the collection, buyers can expect hallmark features including 200-metre water resistance, shock resistance, stopwatch and timer functions, LED Super Illuminator backlighting and multi-function alarms. Selected models also offer world time covering 48 cities and hand shift functionality, ensuring they’re just as practical as they are stylish.
