If you’ve ever wished you could get Sheng Siong groceries delivered to your door without leaving the house, you’d be happy to know that foodpanda announced a new partnership with Sheng Siong this week, bringing one of Singapore’s most popular supermarket chains onto the platform for on-demand delivery. It goes live on 22 June 2026.

From that date, shoppers can browse and order from a catalogue of over 12,000 products spanning groceries, household essentials and more, sourced from 43 Sheng Siong outlets across the island. Delivery is promised within the hour, which puts it squarely in the same territory as a quick supermarket run — minus the trip.

Sheng Siong has a particular place in Singapore’s grocery landscape. It’s not a premium supermarket, and it doesn’t try to be. Its appeal has always been the combination of competitive pricing, a wide product range, and the kind of familiarity that comes from being a neighbourhood staple for decades. For many households, it’s simply where you do your regular shopping.

foodpanda, meanwhile, has been quietly building out its grocery business beyond food delivery. The platform has seen grocery order frequency climb 7% since 2023, and the average number of items per order has grown by 8% over the same period — a sign that more users are doing proper weekly shops on the app rather than just ordering the occasional top-up. Adding Sheng Siong gives those shoppers access to the kind of value-focused range that suits a full basket, not just a quick purchase.

For the delivery side of things, foodpanda is also expanding its three-wheeler fleet to handle larger, bulkier orders — practical when someone is ordering five litres of cooking oil and a 10kg bag of rice.

The $280,000 Launch Campaign

To mark the occasion, foodpanda and Sheng Siong are running what’s being described as one of foodpanda’s biggest grocery campaigns to date. From 22 June to 19 July 2026, one customer who orders from Sheng Siong on foodpanda will win $10,000 in cash every single day. That works out to $280,000 in total across the campaign period.

There are also launch discounts to take advantage of, including up to 40% off selected Sheng Siong products on the platform, with additional promotions running throughout the campaign. pandapro subscribers get an added benefit in the form of free delivery on applicable orders.

The 12,000-plus product catalogue covers pretty much the full range of what you’d find walking the aisles at a physical Sheng Siong store. Fresh produce, pantry staples, beverages, cleaning supplies, personal care — the works. With 43 outlets onboarded at launch and more to follow, coverage across the island should be broad enough for most users to be within range of a participating store.

Singapore’s grocery delivery market has come a long way from being an occasional convenience to something more embedded in how people shop week to week. Having Sheng Siong — a brand that resonates particularly strongly with Singaporean households shopping on a budget — join the platform is a meaningful expansion of what foodpanda can offer. It’s less about disruption and more about meeting people where they already are, but making the trip unnecessary.

The partnership launches on 22 June. Download the foodpanda app or visit foodpanda.com.sg to order from Sheng Siong when it goes live.
