The June school holidays are often accompanied by a familiar challenge for parents: finding activities that are engaging enough to keep children entertained while also offering opportunities to learn and grow. This year, UOL Malls is stepping up with a packed calendar of experiences designed to do exactly that.
Returning for the June holiday season are U-CAMP at United Square and Urban Beat at Velocity@Novena Square, two popular programmes that transform everyday mall visits into opportunities for discovery, creativity and active play. Running from 29 May to 12 July 2026 at United Square and from 29 May to 5 July 2026 at Velocity@Novena Square, the initiatives offer a diverse range of workshops and activities catering to children, teenagers and even adults.
Unlike traditional holiday programmes that simply keep children occupied, U-CAMP and Urban Beat are designed to help participants uncover new interests and develop practical skills through hands-on experiences.
At United Square, young learners can explore everything from art and language to coding and public speaking. Budding artists can unleash their creativity through Tree Art’s Art Jamming sessions, while aspiring strategists can learn the fundamentals of chess through beginner workshops conducted by Chess at Three. Children with a passion for technology can also take their first steps into coding and robotics with Futurum Academy’s VEX GO and VEX IQ programmes.
Language and communication skills are also in focus. Hua Language Centre offers Chinese-themed craft workshops, while Lorna Whiston’s “Write Up! Speak Up!” programme helps children build confidence in writing, public speaking and self-expression. These workshops provide an enjoyable way for children to learn while developing skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
Families looking for something a little different can participate in AsterSpring’s Parent-Child Skincare Fundamentals workshop, which introduces basic skincare habits in a fun and interactive setting. Young music enthusiasts can also discover their musical talents through sessions conducted by Aureus Academy and Mandeville Conservatory of Music, with opportunities to learn the ukulele, piano and drums.

For those who prefer movement over sitting still, the line-up offers plenty of opportunities to get active. United Square will host SBA Basketball Clinics, helping young participants improve their speed, coordination and athletic skills. The Gentle Art introduces children to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, while Smigy Playground provides a safe space for younger children to burn off energy through free play.

Over at Velocity@Novena Square, the focus shifts towards fitness, sports and lifestyle experiences. Music lovers can try their hand at acoustic guitar, electric guitar and drumming through Believer Music’s workshops, while young martial arts enthusiasts can join Fight Zone’s Muay Thai for Kids sessions. Climb Central’s climbing experiences offer an exciting challenge for adventurous participants, while Yoga Edition provides classes ranging from traditional yoga and pilates to hot yoga for adults seeking a wellness-focused break.

One of the highlights of the programme is the introduction of beginner-friendly pickleball workshops from 17 to 21 June. Open to both children and adults, the sessions offer an accessible way to try one of the world’s fastest-growing sports. Free public play sessions will also be available outside workshop timings, making it easy for families and friends to join in the fun.
Adding to the excitement, United Square will host the Singapore-exclusive KPop Demon Hunters One Year Anniversary Pop-Up from 19 June to 12 July. Fans can look forward to exclusive merchandise, purchase-with-purchase deals, appearances by Huntrix and Saja Boys cosplayers, photo opportunities, as well as kid-friendly activities such as face painting and hair styling.
To sweeten the experience, U-POPP members can enjoy a range of spend-and-redeem rewards, including discounted workshop passes, shopping vouchers and exclusive merchandise.
With a programme that combines learning, creativity, fitness and family bonding, U-CAMP and Urban Beat offer far more than a way to fill the school holiday calendar. Instead, they provide an opportunity for children and families to discover new passions, build confidence and create meaningful memories together.
