Eyewear has evolved far beyond being a simple vision aid. Today, it serves as both a practical necessity and an extension of personal style. Recognising the increasingly dynamic lifestyles of modern consumers, OWNDAYS is introducing a new generation of adaptive eyewear with the launch of its PhotoShade Lens Collection, accompanied by an immersive public pop-up experience at Plaza Singapura.

Officially launching on 1 June 2026, the OWNDAYS PhotoShade series is designed for individuals who move seamlessly between indoor and outdoor environments throughout the day. Combining technology, convenience and self-expression, the light-responsive lenses automatically darken when exposed to sunlight and UV rays, providing clear vision while reducing glare across varying conditions.

At the heart of the collection are two lens options tailored to different lifestyles.

The standard OWNDAYS PhotoShade lenses offer rapid activation, darkening in as little as 10 seconds when exposed to sunlight. Beyond providing visual comfort, the lenses block 100 per cent of UV rays and harmful high-energy visible (HEV) light up to 420 nanometres, helping to protect the eyes while also reducing blue light exposure from digital devices. Available in six colours — Sakura, Hojicha, Pebble, Matcha, Indigo and Lavender — the collection allows wearers to incorporate a touch of personality into their everyday eyewear.

For those who spend significant time outdoors or behind the wheel, the PhotoShade Ultra offers an enhanced experience. Designed to darken further under intense sunlight, the lenses also activate inside vehicles, providing seamless sun protection while driving without the need to switch between spectacles and sunglasses. The PhotoShade Ultra is available in Hojicha and Pebble.

Complementing the new lenses is OWNDAYS’ AIR Collection, a range of ultra-lightweight frames engineered for comfort and durability. Constructed from eco-friendly, FDA-recognised materials, the frames are designed to withstand daily wear while maintaining flexibility, shape retention and long-term comfort. Spring hinges and pressure-absorbing structures further enhance wearability, making them suitable for extended use.

To showcase these innovations, OWNDAYS will host the OWN “your” DAYS pop-up at Plaza Singapura from 8 to 14 June 2026. More than a product showcase, the pop-up has been conceived as an immersive experience that invites visitors to explore the intersection of eyewear, technology and personal identity.

Spanning multiple themed zones, the installation takes guests on a journey through OWNDAYS’ key collections. Highlights include the OWNDAYS AIR zone, where visitors can discover the flexibility and durability of the brand’s lightweight frames, and the Reflective Garden, a minimalist space spotlighting the Graph Belle and +NICHE collections.

Perhaps the most interactive section is the PhotoShade experience, where visitors can witness the lenses reacting to UV light in real time at the touch of a button. The installation also features colourful displays inspired by the PhotoShade lens palette, offering opportunities for photography and social sharing.

Guests can also take advantage of complimentary eye checks, explore frame collections, and personalise their eyewear with on-site engraving services when purchasing PhotoShade lenses. To round off the experience, visitors who complete the eye test journey will be treated to a complimentary refreshment.

As eyewear increasingly becomes a reflection of lifestyle and individuality, OWNDAYS’ latest launch demonstrates how innovation can be seamlessly integrated into everyday essentials. Whether it’s transitioning between indoor meetings and outdoor adventures, or simply seeking greater comfort under Singapore’s tropical sun, the PhotoShade collection aims to ensure that wearers are ready for whatever the day brings.

The OWN “your” DAYS pop-up will run from 8 to 14 June 2026 at Plaza Singapura’s Atrium, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the future of adaptive eyewear firsthand.
