This year, National Gallery Singapore — custodian of the world’s largest public collection of Singapore and Southeast Asian modern and contemporary art — marks a decade since opening its doors. Since 2015, more than 14 million visitors have explored its galleries, drawn not just to its exhibitions but to its role as a space where people gather, converse, and connect through art.

To commemorate this milestone, the Gallery is throwing a two-day 10th Birthday Bash on 15 and 16 November 2025, filling its iconic halls with music, food, performances, and creative encounters from day to night. With extended hours from 10am to 10pm, the celebration reaffirms the Gallery’s vision of art as a shared, living experience — one that belongs to everyone.
Across the weekend, all exhibitions will open to the public free of charge, including Into the Modern: Impressionism from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston – the largest French Impressionism showcase ever staged in Southeast Asia. Timed to debut just ahead of the festivities, the exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in the movement that redefined modern art, featuring works making their first appearance in Singapore.
Adding a playful touch is Artsplaining: 10th Anniversary Edition, a tongue-in-cheek tour pairing beloved cultural personalities — Gurmit Singh, Kishan, Liu Ling Ling, and Shazza — with Gallery curators. Together, they’ll riff on art with humour and heart, making art appreciation feel as spontaneous as a conversation among friends.

Mr. Bucket Chocolaterie, a Singapore-based chocolate lifestyle brand known for its inventive approach to Asian cacao, reimagines art into flavour with three distinctive chocolate bars — Miso & Furikake, Sea Salt & Coconut Flakes, and Lapsang Souchong. The first delivers a briny, umami twist reminiscent of the sea, while the latter two offer a gentler indulgence, balancing familiarity with refinement. It’s a creative reflection of the brand’s ethos: playful, daring, and distinctly local.
